OMG, this place is the bomb! The moment you walk in you will smell really really strong of freshly brewed teas! As a tea lover and drinker, this place is so underrated, I know the logo is not appealing or stuff, but when you come into the store, you will see a natural vibe with tea and boba drinks, and they use premium ingredients! No additives or artificial flavors!
I always get more than 1 drink every time I come here. My fave has always been roasted flavored drinks. The last time I came, I got roasted barley milk tea and roasted oolong tea, and they never disappoint.
Just a head's up, their boba is NOT honey/Brown Sugar boba, so more like a plain boba, but again, this place is very premium ingredients oriented, so with the drink by itself, I don't have any complaints at all lol.
When you taste their drinks with tea in them, you will taste a very strong tea flavor, which I prefer when ordering premium tea drinks.
Parking is a little tricky because, since covid, the parking street in front of the store has been used for additional space for local restaurants, but you can always find one during non-rush hours.
I also highly recommend getting their homemade Snowflake Crackers, I don't think you can find it elsewhere, but those are bombs! I got samples of it when I bought my drinks and loving it! I will buy a whole bag next time I...
Read moreThey are doing a "Boba trail" promotion in Pasadena which got me thinking about trying to hit all the Boba places inside pasadena. This one is across the street from the Target at the corner of Colorado and Lake. I'll get a Boba maybe once or twice a month, usually it's a Sunday afternoon after a trip to the dog park or a rec league soccer game. Couple times a year it'll be a random stop in Orange county instead of a coffee.
Boba drinks are alot like espresso drinks, i.e. they are simply either well made or not well made, and there isn't a whole lot of variation beyond that. It's very rare to get a very good OR a very bad Boba. Then there's the question of whether they have food or not. This place had acai bowl type stuff but no hot food.
Generally I always get the basic milk tea with Boba the first time at a spot the same way I use a cappuccino to judge whether a coffee place is worth going to more than once. If a Boba place can't make a milk tea with Boba just forget it. This one was good because it wasn't too sweet, the ratio of liquid to ice was good (you shouldn't be left with a bunch of melted ice at the end BUT there should be ice when you are drinking), there wasn't a ton of unconsumed Boba after the liquid was gone.
I wouldn't hesitate to come back but I wouldn't say this is the best Boba in Pasadena. What...
Read moreI love it when a boba shop knows what they're doing. 7 Tea offers a variety of drinks to choose from and they have non-dairy milk alternatives, which is a big reason for me to choose this spot.
I ordered the Brown Sugar Milk Tea with half ice, half sweet, and oat milk. Drink took a bit to come out but it was perfectly well made. Not too sweet for my palette either. I did notice they had to redo my drink for some reason but I'm glad they caught their mistake and fixed it before serving.
Love the decor where they have lots of tubes lined with beans as you make your way to pick up your drink. They also have a couple of table games with some that proved quite challenging...
