I travel all over the country and have been to hundreds of breweries and distilleries wherever I go. This past week I was in Pasadena for training and the closest brewery was the famous Stone Brewing where I had been whilst in Napa a few years back. I will tell you that the beers are tasty and would rate them 3.5 out of 5 stars. This location though, had some of the worst customer service I have ever experienced. We traveled there on 3 different occasions just hoping it was a bad night or employee. Nope, the second night we arrived at 8:48p exactly 12 minutes before closing and there were plenty of customers with full beers sitting outside enjoying themselves. We had 6 of us all wanting to try a specialty batch that came in a ten ounce pour. We were quickly told they close at 9p and would not pour even a sample. We could purchase cans and could drink them offsite, seriously? You can’t pour a sample tasting with 8 others still seated and drinking outside? And then last night, against our better judgement, we tried one last time with 10 of us buying multiple beers, flights and even ordered food next door. After my 3rd beer, I ordered something in a 20 ounce pour. It was not good and I returned it with approx 15 oz left. I asked to exchange it for a 10 ounce of something I knew I liked. “Russell” said the manager refused that request and he would be happy to charge me full price for a 10oz. I said the beer is not good and I would like a small glass of something I did like. Again, he said they would not agree to that and I would have to pay full price. In the 21 years I have been legally drinking, this was unheard of and I will absolute never be back, I will never recommend this place and really don’t think Stone will be a go to beer of mine back home. Same on you Stone. Shame on your management. Be better, it was a $6 beer and you lost a decades long customer over something so...
Read morethey have horrendous and i mean HORRENDOUS live singers every sunday i believe and all they do is scream and shout. this establishment does not care that they are surrounded by an apartment building where people live and want to relax from work. imagine coming home wanting to relax rightfully at home and you are surrounded by screaming and howling. we already hear the ruckus from the metro and now we have to look forward to this every sunday. i would take the sound of the metro over this atrocity any day. it’s absolutely ridiculous how horrible and loud these singers are. hope the brewery sees this and feels some type of compassion for their neighbors. and on top of that, they sing right below where an apartment building is at. i feel so bad for those people who live there and have to listen to these trash singers. and they also share a location with a very nice restaurant who’s customers are now subject...
Read moreStone completely let me down today. Bought a large jug of beer, opened it exactly 3 days later, beer flat as a pancake. Called to complain, got apsolutely NO help from manager Johnny who said there was nothing they can do because it's been past 3 days. In the past, I literally forgot a jug in my fridge and opened it a month later and the beer still tasted great! I wish the manager could have even acted like he cared! To top it off, he suggested I buy cans for now on defeating the purpose of wanting ultra fresh beer! Not a very good suggestion, borderline asshole actually!
Clearly, I cannot recommend buying jugs anymore and I am now very turned off towards this place in general. Good customer service goes a long way! I guarantee you this negative review and word of mouth will last much longer...
