This used to be my favorite place for Mexican Snow and similar hand-crafted cocktails by the mixologists of .08. The bleu cheese rib-eye at next door Red, White + Bluezz was a favorite amongst the regulars. .08 has since been closed, and the attached restaurant is now at the Pasadena Playhouse, where the live music does not have the same dark, smoky character.
However, half of this story has a happy ending, with .08 being replaced with Dog Haus. This gourmet-style hotdog and hamburger biergarten serves up some excellent twists on the all-American favorites. On this night, I had enough room in my tummy for seconds, and had two of their most popular sausage dogs (Das Brat and Bad Mutha Clucka), washed down with red wine and the Nitro Milk Stout (pictures on my website). Ordering is straightforward as you are greeted with a huge, above the eye-level menu, before deciding what you want and orderingwith one of the two lovely ladies.
The outside seating is the place to dine if you want the German pub feel, however, the bar allows you to mingle with regulars or chat with the knowledgeable bartenders. The variety of the menu makes this a repeat experience. Wurstkuche is the place for exotic meats like snake and rabbit, but Dog Haus does plain ‘ol beef links just right. Not all franchisees are created equal, so check out this one on Green Street in Pasadena as the people and ambience will make for a...

This is my favorite dog haus of them all, bigger and has some stuff that other don't had. Like the giant jenga, that a lone is worthy to come here. This is something you never get tired of watching people get screw up playing those huge jenga. Great game when you a bit drunk.
They serve nearly the same stuff you get from all other dog haus location, price is general affordable and they got some amazing happy hour price. What I also like is Dog Haus always has some interesting local event, such as slider eating contest, and more recently the world cup final shirt gaveaway, which I was lucky enough to get one out of one hundred.
I love their slider more than their hot dog, but their dog has so many way of interesting topic combination, only thing lack is those exotic dog that you find in few other places. This is great place to hang out, it isn't too crowded. It is kinda off from the old town location, but is easier to find parking in street than other bars nearby.
Bottom line, this is one of best place to hangout in old town that won't hurt your wallet too much especially during happy hour. Can't play to come back next time, playing...
Read moreLove it!! I'll definitely be returning, might even make it a new main spot of mine if I can continue to afford it haha I was happy to hear they were doing bogo pints when I went for the first time with my boyfriend and our work homie. She got The Ringer with a fried egg added, and that glorious pile of sweet and smoky protein was soooo delicious, especially with a little mustard and pickle on the side!! We needed a knife and fork to eat it xD My man and I split some chili fries (super dank 👌) and the Holy Aioli burger. Holy frick, it was a smooth, buttery beef muffin in ma face! I may get the same thing next time and add extra aioli and onion rings or avocado; or both! But who knows, their Another Night in Bangkok with the currywurst looked exceptionally tempting, along with the Little Mule burger. We'll see, all I know is you can't go wrong with Dog Haus! (Unless of course you're vegan or something... Boooo, your life needs some cheesy, beefy, deep-fried gluten! Come to Dog Haus and give in to that "guilty" pleasure, you dirty b¡t©h.) Seriously though, awesome employees, love the atmosphere, fantastic bar selections, and stupendous food! Jolly good show, chaps,...
