I love this place! Pretty much everything you need is either $3 or $3.50, including their house sake! It's hard to pick my favorite items since it's all so good. If I'm keeping it simple, I'll go with the Salmon Avocado roll; 8 pieces for $2.95? Hell yea. If I wanna get fancy though, I recently became hooked on the Philly roll, with just the right amount of savory saltiness from the smoked salmon and a single caper, a tangy bit of lemon juice and thinly sliced onions to add a kick to that dollop of heaven that is cream cheese - oh my God, I'm drooling - all on top of an avocado abundant California roll. Just YUM. My other half loves anything with scallops, so the Dynamite roll is also a must at our table. (If you don't like scallops, get the Baked Salmon roll; it's the same flavor, just a different nemo.) We also recommend the Las Vegas roll, Spicy Tuna Guacamole roll, Spicy Scallop roll, Spicy Tuna roll (tempura or cold), the Salmon hand roll with Truffle oil, and the Baked Blue Crab hand roll. Stuffed jalapenos, Crispy Rice, and Gyoza are also awesome appetizers. Lastly but not least, the Banana Tempura is a great dessert to top it off. I usually do takeout because I'm in a hurry, but I love sitting at the bar when I get the chance. I am not from Pasadena came here because everyone is raving about how great sushi here is.. Sushi stop had really good sushi and cheap. I was very very frustrated with the service... some of the worst service I've ever had at a place to eat. We wait like 30 min because no one wanted to clean off a table that was empty that would seat 3.. coupes and singles kept getting seated before us...we finally got seated they got our drinks quick but then forgot about us... MIND YOU that it was NOT busy. Idk what sort of Problems they may have had in the back but out from nothing no huge lines or rush. Well finally some other person came by other than our server and got our orders for food. we ordered 3 small and basic sushi dishes. We also noticed another couple and a group of 3 teenagers come in 10 min after us and got seated...well why is important you ask? It's because they got their drinks and orders taken very quickly. They also got their food way before us... -_- my patience at this point was wearing really thin.. he finally came over and sat one of the 3 plates down near me not even in front of me and immediately walked away didn't say anything no reason on why or what that dish even was .. I figured out it was what I had order and we still waited 10 min for the rest of our food ... while the couple and teenagers got their food very quickly and all at once before we got our food ... Very disappointing first time experience and will never go back! After we sat down and placed our order for 6 rolls, the first roll arrived without any wasabi or ginger on the bar. When asked, and the waitress said that the rest of the sushi is almost done and the wasabi n ginger will come with it. One of the rolls had only 4 pieces, 3 of them 5 pieces, and 2 of them have 8 pieces. The more expensive rolls where 4 pieces or 5 pieces and simpler ones were 8 pieces. The rolls were made very small and not enough fish in them. The food was mediocre but the service was bad. At 5 o'clock the place was overstaffed with 9 employees with only 5 tables and most of them were in the back talking to each other laughing and playing on their phones instead of caring for the customers. The sushi bar prep area was covered up by wood making us miss out on the experience of watching the actual fish being prepared and/or observe the cleanness and the freshness of the entire fridge area. The servers were not on top of their game asking us if everything was OK or we needed anything. We had to keep asking for hot water for the tea, the menu to order more sushi, and to...
