Thai Thyme Pasadena — Restaurant in Pasadena

I'm from New Jersey, and traveled to California for work. Thai Thyme in Pasadena was the first restaurant I ate at after landing in CA and I really enjoyed it! The hostess was very friendly (I wish I got her name!) and gave me great suggestions. I ordered two appetizers, the Curry Puff and BBQ chicken. I got sticky rice to have with the BBQ chicken after the hostess laughed at me for suggesting that I was going to it eat it alone 😅. It was a great suggestion on her part. Everything tasted authentic. The food took some time to come out, but I could tell that it was because it was made fresh. However the hostess gave me some free soup, while I waited. We ordered a Thai glass noodle salad with chicken, pot stickers and beef pad see ew. Each dish came out separately but the wait was not long at all. Everything was delicious! The service was great, because they came to check on us several times, ensuring our water glasses were always full. The only thing that was a bit uncomfortable was the temperature of the restaurant; I don’t think there’s air conditioning. On a very hot day like today (over 90 degrees) it was not easy to ignore...

Agree with DRs review. We ate there shortly after they opened. We had Pad Thai at Suriya for years but the noodles now were hard and chewy.
