I went to El Mirador Mexican Restaurant in Pasco with a childhood friend who was on vacation from Michigan. I wanted him to experience a great place to eat while throwing back a couple of cold ones. My go to in Pasco for reliable food cooked to perfection was El Mirador. The staff was friendly and courteous. We arrived ordered drinks and due to a shift change a simple reminder was all that was needed. Their kitchen prepared the food and diced up a tomato, as requested, before serving it hot and ready to be devoured. It was overall, as expected, a great place to entertain, friends and family. 😀

The worst service I have ever received!! We waited 15 minutes for just water. Another 15 for our actual drink & food order to be taken. The waitress left our drinks at the bar and forgot about them. The drinks barely had any alcohol. It wasn't even busy. I will admit the portions are huge but flavorless. No spice or real salsa. No offer on refills on chips or drinks. The waitress pretended not to speak english until it was time for the check. We paid over $100 dollars for terrible service and flavorless food. I ended up throwing away my plate. Never again!!

First would like to say Yes we ordered closer to closing time. I did ask is it to late to order, Lady said not at all. But the food we received was very much poor. They forgot all our tortillas for the meals. Asked for no onions was piled with them. Didnt get our side of Guacamole and sour cream. The Chili was not even cooked all seeds in and cheese was not melted at all. The beans tasted like the sat all day that came with meals. They forgot the side order of beans and rice. For spending $114 I feel we were robbed!!

Would give 0 stars if possible. Had a horrible experience on Father's Day afternoon there. It started with walking in - there was a huge crowd in the waiting area, and no one to greet you. You really had to be proactive and work your way through a crowd over to a desk area to get put on the list to get in line for a table. The check-in desk should be more central. And the customer service even during that process was lacking. Sometimes there was not a staff person there to check anyone in for long periods of time. We sat for 45 minutes before being seated. We found the large expansive dining room to be under-utilized. Not every table was full, so why so many people waiting? We ordered our food off of the happy-hour menu. It seemed like a too-good-to-be-true deal, and it ended up that it WAS to good to be true. The happy hour offered MANY items for only $1.49, including drinks and food items. Our waitress seemed to have no qualms with us kind of 'building' a meal out of several of these a la carte happy hour food items. However - OUR FOOD NEVER CAME. We did get some drinks, but the service started to get VERY slow. We had to get up and grab a water pitcher for ourselves to fill our waters. We were WAITING and WAITING and WAITING. Tables around us who had been seated after us were all getting their food. We had a pregnant woman and also a 6-week old in our group. We were told at one point that our waitress had switched tables or shifts or something, and that we had a new waitress. We NEVER saw her face. Someone from our group got up, sought out an employee, asked to speak with a manager, and tried to figure out what was going on. They said to give them 5 minutes. Restaurant staff would avoid eye contact with us as they walked by our table. No one was acknowledging what was going on. We gave them 5 minutes, plus. It was time to leave. Our group of 7 adults and 1 baby got up and made the walk of shame back toward the front area to exit. We were hungry, a few hours into our visit there, frustrated, and VERY poorly served. When we stopped by the front check-in desk to inquire about what happened here, we learned that our food order was NEVER PLACED. We did not get any sort of apology, no one took any responsibility for this customer-service disaster. They just kind of looked at us blankly like they were waiting for us to leave. ... Famished, we drove across the street to Taqueria El Sazon, got great service there, had our food quickly, and felt treated like kings in comparison...

Will NEVER go back. We were seated, they were NOT busy. We waited 10 minutes before anyone took our drink order. All we wanted was sodas. We waited for our sodas and someone to take our order. Finally after another 15 minutes, we flagged down a girl and she said she wasn't our waitress but she would tell our waiter. He finally came over, took our order, but no drinks yet. I ask for our pops and he said he would get them. Nothing, not even water! People coming in after us got their drinks and water and food. Just as we were getting ready to leave, our food came. We told him we were leaving and he said we had to pay for the food whether we stayed or not. We waited 48 minutes to get it! We stayed and ate and again ask for our pop. He said he forgot and would get it. Just as we finished eating, he brought our sodas and water. We had a couple sips and had to leave for another appointment. We ask to take our pop with us he said we can't do that. We ask why we had to pay for sodas when we didn't get them until we were done. His remark was .....well I didn't totally forget. They are on your table. Ask to speak to a manager and he said there was not one there. We will NEVER go there again and will tell friends about this horrible service and snotty attitudes that were displayed by the waiter and waitresses. One star...

Great food, great deals during Happy Hour. Shots are expensive if not during Happy Hour. The drunken Mariachi Band plays way too loud, but they are having so much fun it would a crime to complain about the volume. Big beautiful restaurant that is beautifully decorated is incredible. Great place to host a party in the rear of the restaurant, idk if that's an option. The service lacks a little bit to be desired. If you are not ready to order drinks when she is taking drink orders, you may not get one for half an hour. You are probably not going to get that second drink you ordered when the food was delivered either. It will be on the bill though. And you might get it offered to you as you are leaving. Do not change anything on any of the entrée either. It must not translate well or something?? And ordering a side like sour cream or an extra guacamole, you are not going to get it. It will probably be on the bill but you are not going to be able to enjoy it. The special of the day is always an excellent value and always delicious. I will continue to patronize this place. Even at full price it's still a great place to eat. Shots of Patrón are $11 each! But the Margaritas during Happy Hour are awesome, and fair priced... Highly recommend trying it. Looks way better than Roy's Chuck...
