This review is has both the pros and cons of the restaurant:
First of all: Do not order through the website, the order takes too long to process through. I sent an order in at an evening time (while the store was still open) and the order didn't show up. We went ahead and bought things to go when we went it. The order went through the next morning at 4:30am.
You would think this would be an easy fix. We should be able to get a refund right? Go in and fix it, we have both the proof we paid in store and the order online that went through (emails, etc.). It became complicated. The card reader was down the day we went in to remedy the situation. Not a big deal a nice woman named Leslie took our info and said they would call when the system went back up (most likely the next day). We didn't receive a call, but we just assumed it was forgotten, busy store and such.
We went back again to take care of the refund, but we were told that all refunds like that are processed online and they can't take care of it in the store. At this point, it's starting to look bad. I went online. The website has a "contact" spot (nothing about refunds). We didn't use grub-hub or anything, we had ordered to pickup in the store. I emailed the contact us section and explained the situation. I have yet to receive a response. (It has been 10 days since I've emailed them).
Went back to try again, no one was able to help. I think this is a lost cause.
The food here is amazing though, and I really want to be completely happy with the situation. I just want my refund because it was a lot of money, and I know that it's hard to deal with people and stuff. I love this place, they're really nice and have great food, and this is the first time I've ever had an issue, so I'm just never going to order online again from here. (Seems like my luck with ordering online in...
Read moreIf you're in the mood for some tasty Mexican food. I recommend popping into La Reyna market. I give the food a 5 out of 5/5, the amiance is a 3/5.
I consider it a hole in the wall local neighborhood spot. If you know you know! The food is made to order and is always on point.
I ordered a chicken Burrito with everything. The tortilla was nice and fresh, all of the ingredients married perfectly for a great bite. My wife had the Quesabirria Tacos. They were perfectly sauced and flavorful. The meat was nice and tender and the cheese was a perfect pair. Once dipped in the consommé...lights out delicious. Side note.. add some of that consommé to the Burrito... next level.
The price point is spot on. You most definitely get your money's worth. The overall store has your usual grocery items with a Mecicsn twist. Don't go in expecting a glamorous restaurant setting. It's a grocery store with a kitchen in the back, and a taco stand outside. They also have a full meat counter. I usually order to go, but they have plenty...
Read moreI ordered 4 birria tacos (not quesadillas) the tacos had a tablespoon of meat, on each taco. I’ve ordered from here before and know this is not standard l- when I called them I let them know that 20 dollars for 4 tacos should have a little substance. I am at work and can’t return the tacos, I don’t get off until after they close and their only option was to come in and get a replacement. Disappointing to say the least. Still gave them a shot even after I was told by locals they’ve been shut down recently for rat infestation- I should have just listened. Save your money and go to Suprema, way cleaner, superior service. All 4 were the same amount of meat, more like quesadillas Update: in response to their response, I posted proof it was from their store....
