La Casona Cafe Restaurant Bar — Restaurant in Passaic

It’s a new restaurant and bar in Passaic.

A fusion of Dominican and Spanish cuisine, with a wine and premium bottle selection.

From the food menu I’ve enjoyed the “Mofongo Parrillada” but it’s also a great choice of restaurant if you are looking for a good meat alternative nearby Passaic NJ.

Kudos for the great service provided by the entire staff, specially robert, anabel, cesar and Carmen, I honestly felt welcomed with the Dominican vibe from the entrance greeted by the hostess.

Kids are allowed until 10Pm or so. And there some nice pictures spots

Something I appreciated is the fact that have valet parking available.

The fact that is a new concept I appreciate the great service provided and I recommend it in a 100%.

This place has exceptional drinks, service and most of all - food.

The bartender takes care in the drinks she creates and they look beautiful.

Now, the chefs here need a raise - because the food is wonderful, fresh and presented beautifully. I had the Montaditos de Yuca which were beautifully crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. For a main, I had the Mofongo de Chicharron. It’s hard to get mofongo to be not dry, but this was awesome, soft and seasoned perfectly. The chicharon were crispy and the side salad had really nice juicy cherry tomatoes and the balsamic dressing was super nice.

Found this place on Instagram and decided to give it a shot. I’m so happy I did! I grew up in Passaic and the need for a casual but upscale dining experience was needed! This is the perfect set up, good vibes for dinner & dancing after hours! The band set up was serious! The FOOD… SPECTACULAR!! I had the Skirt steak (one of the most tender I’ve had), my sister the mofongo skirt steak and mom the eggplant with fish. All 3 dishes were made with love. Hats off to the cooks! Drinks, strong & tasty! The service was incredible too, I mean the waiters were super attentive! The place is clean and full of life. I can’t wait to come...
