Massey's Pizza — Restaurant in Pataskala

I ordered a Dinner Salad through their website. They added green olives despite it not being in the website description. They removed all of the cheese (the only reason I even order this salad).

I called in to let them know. A woman was very rude on the phone as soon as she realized I was calling to report a problem. She told me there’s two kinds of olives on the salad regardless of what the website says, and “dinner salads never come with cheese - you HAVE to add it”. I told her this is completely different than the website description. She didn’t care. She said to call in my order next time so it can be “exactly what you want”.

Be careful when ordering online, I guess. You can’t trust their website descriptions.

She told me the solution to all of this is for me to drive back to the restaurant to pick up a new salad. I told her I’m not doing a 20 minute round trip all over again. I’m going to stay home to eat dinner with my family.

She suggested I accept a discount on a future order. This was my first time ever trying Massey’s and I don’t want to come back, so there’s no use for a discount. I requested a refund of the salad. She thought for a moment, then obliged. There was never any apology or empathy at all. It was weird. If there hadn’t been any food issues, I wouldn’t return to this location just based on my experience with this lady. How are they going to mess up my food and then treat me like I’m the...

Well, what can I say about Massey's in Pataskala? I like their food, but the management and staff are so incredibly poor here that I swore the last time I would never order from there again (they have always had a "take or leave it" attitude)! Then tonight when looking up pizza in Pataskala, I came upon their website which stated "Under New Management". A glimmer of hope welled up inside me! A young man answered the phone and proceeded to take my order. Unfortunately, he sounded like I had awakened him from his mid-day nap....kept repeating, "huh...?", slurring his words....completely uninformed...I mean COME ON! I finally asked to speak to management and when he told me HE was management, I said, "let's just forget this". He replied...."uh....ukay". I honestly don't see how this place stays in business! Very poor management. I wish they would just close up shop or sell the franchise to someone who CARES about their customers. They obviously don't. If you are looking for a good pizza experience, PLEASE DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME...

I ordered a pizza and cheese garlic bread from this location last night, and all I can say is I will not be ordering again from this location or any location, for the following reasons:

pizza was not worth the money I paid. taste was ok, sauce is good, but bottom was burned and the amount of cornmeal was horrible.

Service was not welcoming and when I informed this employee it was my first time there she did not offer any suggestions only stated that there are no paper menus and I have to order from the overhead menu.

The reason for my decision not to return is not based on the service as I realize that everyone has bad days even at work. But it is based the the food itself. You can decide for yourselves but I can tell you it was not worth the...
