Ziggy's Bar & Grill, Inc. — Restaurant in Pataskala

Ziggy's Bar & Grill is a local sports bar that serves wings, wraps, specialty burgers, pizza, flat bread and other bar food staples. I have been going to Ziggy's for several years now and I can honestly say that I have always had a positive experience here. The food is always prepared fresh and correctly. Their wings are very large and all of their food is well made. They always have a changing list of burgers that go beyond just a basic cheeseburger. Their sliders are especially tasty. Their pizza has always been very good and reasonably priced, but it is their flat bread pizzas that set them apart from the other local pizza offerings. Ziggy's also has a fairly decent selection of draft beer with about 12 rotating offerings on tap. Keep in mind that this is a bar and as such it can get loud, but not out of control after 9 PM. Before then, it is a 100% family friendly place that I feel perfectly fine in taking my kids too and by the number of kids eating meals prior to 9, other people feel the same way. Occasionally, a new employee shows their newness with slower than normal service, but because they are new I just drink another beer and go with the flow. Any server that has been there for a while is always attentive and gets the orders right even when someone orders something different than what is on the menu. Which brings up another great thing about Ziggy's - even though it isn't on the menu you can get any wrap as a sub and any sub as a wrap - just ask. Also, they have started serving their wings either naked or with a light coating (similar to Roosters) - again just specify even though it isn't listed...

This is my 2nd time here as I'm not a regular but visit when we see family over there. I really enjoy the environment as it's a bar-and-grill, has music, keno, alot of tvs etc. First time food order was a Chicken Ceasar Wrap and it was delicious eith there homemade chips. Went today for 2nd time and had very good service BUT the most terrible food I couldn't even eat it. I am always fair and honest in my reviews and know what good flavorful food taste like and this wasn't it! I will say there bone in buffalo wings in sweet BBQ and mild were delicious!

DONT GET THE BUFFALO CHICKEN FLATBREAD! The flat bread itself was burnt, almost black around some edges to where it turned to ash when I tried to break pieces off (because I couldn't put a whole piece in my mouth bc IT WAS BEYONNDD DROWNED IN ALL HOT SAUCE ( made me almost gag and I love buffalo & hot sauce). It had barely any shredded cheddar, which oddly enough was burnt to a cheese crisp under all the sauce and chicken. A NORMAL BUFFALO FLATBREAD IF NO VEGGIE INCLUDED should include a light but generous layer of noticeable buffalo sauce directly onto crust followed by boneless wings cut up whixh also had the hot sauce on them, then topped with cheesy goodness melted into the meat (best with both white and yellow cheddar to offset hotter flavor). It just had SOOO much hot sauce drowning the flatbread, never seen anything like it and the only flavor note AT ALL you...

Great selection of menu items. Specials every week. Nice bar area and also a great place for the kiddies. Awesome cooks. Nice staff and managers.

I don't write reviews too often, and when I do it's usually because I'm tired of a reoccurring problem. Reoccurring enough to make me want to sit down and write an actual review.

So here's my big issue with Ziggys. Their waiter/waitress services.

Seating is free and open to your choice. So you can sit there for UP TO 20 minutes, just waiting for them to see you! (I feel as if sometimes they even wait/ignore you until they feel like serving you.)

Once you finally get a menu and some drinks, another 15 mins til you can order your food. Then another 20 mins for the food to cook. Which never seems to be an issue. But then when you're done with your meal, you can be sitting there waiting up to 30 MINUTES for your CHECK.

Issue doesn't differ from busy times to not busy. In fact, not busy seems to be WORSE. Which makes no sense to me. Also, smaller tables or individuals are not as important as big parties?

I just want a nice, easy meal that doesn't take an hour and a half to two hours. This is definitely a thing I've dealt with multiple times, and with several different waiters/waitresses.
