This place has been the same since 1990’s they are so messy in front. The customer service is still horrible. They over charge for inferior food you can go to Passaic and Newark and get better food.
They say its halal and you say Salamolaycoom to them and its like talking to a wall, they do not even say WaSalam back.
Paterson really is a disease and it starts here with this place. Depends on how old the meat is they use to maximize their profits. Be careful you will get diarrhea from eating this the fist time.
I came back and they switched out my food (thanks) but wouldn’t even give me fresh rice with it. Saying I have to pay. Really!!!!
I watched them make it from scratch. I asked them them dont use the old meat and put the broccoli in there later not with it when cooking it. Making it soggy and black. Still the same way.
I was forced to come here to swap out the food and never will I come back again. They wont care. They barely know how to speak english or act like they dont. One one person knows english better.
I wish I had the picture of the old one to show you the difference but They threw it away.
Always check your food before leaving to make sure it is good. Im sure they know how to make good food and they just dont try hard enough and they trying to maximize their profits.

They're frequently criticized for their poor customer service, but they have decent food at affordable prices, so I never really made a fuss about it.
In recent years, I've had negative interactions on three separate occassions with the man named "Z" taking the phone orders. This man is THE RUDEST and does this establishment a disservice.
In my most recent interaction (5/25/25), when I asked for the price of the regular vs. large size of an item, he responded, "Your people always ask about the price", referring to my ethnic/racial background. Yes, this is blatantly racist and it is clear this guy hasn't had any home training.
What I also take issue with, is how they think it is an inconvenience for a patron to inquire about prices when the menu information available online is outdated, just like the restaurant itself.
Of course, after this interaction, I didn't order from them and will never order from them again. Fortunately, they're no longer the only halal Chinese fast food restaurant in the area.
My advice: Go to Hola Halal instead. They have the same food, better customer service, up-to-date information available online, and online...

They made me wait 30 mins to order 2 servings of fried dumplings. I was waiting in the place order line for one of the 2 women to approach me but never did so I had to jump in front of a customer in the pick up line just to get her attention. It seemed like I was invisible and felt like I was being discriminated since there was a few times of eye contact. Then this old man came out and I yelled out I’ve been waiting for 30 mins and he finally took my order but he never gave me a number. So I hoped I would get out soon since it was only 2 dumplings but nooooo. I waited another 30 minutes and still no food. I had enough of this B.S. I tried to get her attention and she finally came out with the order. I tied to complain to her about my experience but she decided to shut me off and took my money and went to the back and mocked me. I’ve never been treated so rudely and ghosted at a good place.
