Baladna Bakery — Restaurant in Paterson

This bakery is hands down one of my favorites. I’ve been here so many times, and they never miss. Their bread is always fresh, and everything from the hot dog and beef pastries to the spinach and pizza ones, they’re all consistently delicious. I’m not the biggest fan of their cheese, but my family loves it, so it’s definitely a matter of preference.

The real star is their falafel sandwich. They make it the Palestinian way with kaak bread, and it’s absolutely perfect, it’s soft, flavorful, and just amazing. If you haven’t tried this place yet, you’re missing out.

Btw: This is a GRAB and GO spot. I recommend ordering anything from the menu in advance and grabbing the pastries...

In short, we continue going to this bakery only because we haven’t found a replacement yet. When I bought two bags of bread, the woman at the counter doubled the price on the invoice, charging me for four bags instead of two. I asked why, and she claimed it was because each bag contained four pieces of bread. This is completely unacceptable — it’s dishonest. Moreover, their customer service is terrible. The two women and the man working there are consistently rude and unprofessional. Several people in the area have also told me they’ve had bad experiences with this...

Extremely polite and very friendly people. The bread and the Falafel Sandwich are out of this world. It was our first time visiting Paterson NJ. We will come back to town and drive from Bethesda, MD next time just to buy Balana bread, Falafel and Mooajanat (baked items like Manageesh).
