Costa Marina Restaurant — Restaurant in Paterson

This place was always my go to for Peruvian food. I would always order from them at least once a week the $19 bass ceviche but I had a horrible experience with them today and I never ever want to go there. I was on a time crunch and called them ahead of time for an order that I would pick up. They then tell me that they're not gonna take my order and serve me because my number is blocked. When I asked why it was blocked, they told me that it's because I always order and don't pick up the food. I told them that I have been a loyal customer for so many years and not once have I ever failed to pick up an order I called in for pick up. They then again refuse to take my order despite me telling them how much I always order from them at least once on a weekly basis and that I've recommended so many people to their restaurant. Yet, they still refused! I then call again from my work phone and they guessed that it was me again. Again, they refused and suggested I can place my order in person at the restaurant. I told them that I don't have the time because I'll be coming from Paramus and that parking is difficult in Paterson. Again, I've always called to place an order for pick up and not once have I ever failed to pick up my order. They then refused again. At that point, I was very upset at their disrespectful and inconsiderate treatment of me and just gave up. I refuse to spend my money, time and gas going to this restaurant. Horrible service! I got there as a recommendation from my sister who said that the food was delicious. We ordered 2 lomo saltados, 1 ruleta de mariscos, 1 papas a la huaicaina. The food was good, not the best lomo salteado but really 9/10, it was really good. My brother in law ordered la ruleta rusa and said it was also good. Why I give it 4/5 stars is mostly because of the service. The waitress had a bit of an attitude. We ordered 2 lomos and one was to share and when we got the order, she brought 3, we said that we ordered 2 and she said “I’m going to take it but you said 3”, we also ordered a pitch of Maracuya juice, she brought Jamaican, and we said it wasn’t right and she said “we don’t have any juices”, again, with an attitude. Love coming here for the food. I went to eat by myself and the place was packed as usual. There were 2 tables opened 1 table that fit 6 another 7 or more. The 1 that sat 6 was squeezed in between 2 other large parties! The waiter asked me if he could move me to that table. I said no I dont want to sit there. I have anxiety so sitting alone between 2 big parties is a no go for me. He said well if a big party comes then I'm going to have to move you there. I found this to be very rude of this waiter that has been there for a long time. It was the only Male waiter there. I said no problem I'll go somewhere else.
