my last visit was the LAST visit to this place , we where 5 guests at the table, the first mistake that the waitress did is to take an order from my 8 years old son with out letting me know, I ordered chicken finger for my son and at the same time she took another order of chicken wings form my son with out letting me know or telling me that he ordered already. The first order that served was my son chicken wings, I told the waitress that I didn't ordered chicken wings I ordered chicken fingers and waitress said I'm sorry your son ordered it. i asked her to cancel the order of chicken fingers the waitress responded "sorry the order is ready in the kitchen" so I asked her if it's in the kitchen why is there and not here on the table..this really piss me off. the next thing we ordered 4 full dishes of chicken fajitas that normally come with minimum 2 tortilla per person, I don't know why but our order came with 6 tortilla so we asked the waitress for extra tortilla because it was not enough for 4 people the waitress came back with 3 more tortillas I don't know who calculate the amount of tortilla but it was ridiculous, when we got the bill I found that they charged us for extra tortilla for the chips and the salsa, This is never happened to me there before, At any other Mexican or Spanish restaurant chips and salsa it's free. I asked the waitress why we where charged for extra tortilla?..we where missing tortilla from the first order so it shouldn't be extra, she didn't want to remove the charge I asked her to call the owner of the place that know me from previous time. I explained the owner the situation he looked at me and was surprised that I'm asking to correct the bill. shame on you!!..how can you lose costumer for tortilla or salsa? any way this place is not like it use to be, After it was renovated it changed, it's too noisy, and when it's full you can't hear your self. i hope the owner will take it to his attention and correct his...
Read moreI only give reviews if I'm very impressed or disappointed. Unfortunately this one was a disappointment. The restaurant looks beautiful from the outside, due to Covid service is outside underneath an awning. It seemed pretty active, catering to an eclectic crowd. We were seated quickly. We were five girls going for my friend's birthday. The waitress came to take our drink orders pretty quickly but it all went downhill from there. The waitress wasn't exactly rude just not really there. She took our appetizer order and we let her know we we're ordering dinner as well and then she disappeared. When she finally took the din,ner order I explained my stomach wasn't too well and not looking too order anything too heavy. She suggested the tacos pretty insistently so I relented only to instantly change my mind and say no. She said it was too late. I'm not exaggerating when I say I changed my mind instantly. My niece ordered the ceviche which was so big that it actually seemed gross and excessive and to make it worse the scallops (could've been fish, I couldn't tell) had a rough pebbly texture. She left her meal. The tacos looked good but I couldn't eat them. My friend liked her chimichangas though they really looked like egg rolls. The food came pretty fast but the waitress never came back. We finished eating and sat waiting for the bill for about 45 minutes until I got up to get it. When we got the bill we realized how expensive the drinks were because the prices are not posted on the menu. Two virgin Piña coladas came out to 21.98 and three cocktail drinks 53.97. two small bottles of water 4.58. One cocktail costs more than some of the dishes. The cake topper was the automatically added tip of 18% and the tax of 12.00 . I always pay 20%, but after having a waitress refuse to take an item off an order just as I was placing it, and walk away as we told her our appetizer order I sure as hell don't want the tip...
Read moreI’m visiting from out of town and stopped by for lunch when I first arrived. Let me tell you, if you haven’t been here…you’re missing out. Some of the most authentic Mexican food I’ve had on the east coast. I had 3 mojitos and the sopa de mariscos. You could tell the seafood was fresh and the soup was recently made. It had that home cooking by your grandma kind of feel.
I liked the place so much I went back 2 more times! I’ve had a strawberry margarita on the rocks, passion fruit margarita on the rocks, and a passion fruit mojito. Those bartenders really know how to make that drink right! I mean to find a restaurant that makes great drinks AND great food? Oof! Heaven!
Second time I went, I had the fajita suprema. My god! Guys, I think they make the tortillas there! They were so nice! It had a taco fluff to it that I’ve never had before and didn’t know I needed in my life! The meat was tender, the chicken was juicy, and the shrimp was surprisingly large!
Third time I went, I had carne asada steak with the rice and black beans. PERFECTION! ::Chefs kiss:: The meat was cooked exactly how I asked, medium rare. It was seasoned to perfection. I didn’t need sauce. It would have been sacrilegious! That steak was an experience!
Trust my eating habits! I didn’t gain 50 pounds on eating McDonald’s 🫠
The service was beyond. The owners have done an outstanding job creating such a warm welcoming environment. I felt like family there. Extremely attentive staff and the wait was short. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Get to it before I eat the last...
