Westside Grill Diner — Restaurant in Paterson

I recently had the pleasure of dining at this charming little restaurant that truly deserves a shout-out. From the moment I walked in, I was captivated by its beautiful decor—every corner is Instagram-worthy, making it a perfect spot for capturing those picture-perfect moments. The ambiance is enhanced by a fantastic music selection that adds to the overall experience without being overpowering.

The food did not disappoint either; it was delicious and beautifully presented. I particularly appreciated the attentive service from my waitress, who was always on hand to ensure I had everything I needed. A thoughtful touch was when she came around to clear away any trash while we were still eating, allowing us to enjoy our meal in a clean and clutter-free space.

As a coffee lover, I was thrilled to find that their coffee was excellent—rich and flavorful, just the way I like it. However, I do have one concern: the restaurant’s hours. Being open only until 4 PM limits the options for those of us who prefer a later dining experience. If they could extend their hours, it would make this wonderful spot even more inviting.

Let’s start with ambiance first cause right off the bat - it’s a whole few shades nicer than before. Nothing against the old look and feel but it’s more welcoming and more natural light. Presentation of the food, counters, booth and the diner itself was clean and sharp

Service itself was top notch. The waiter kept checking on me without interrupting me. They made it known that if you need anything we are right here. Prompt service - was seated as soon as I walked in at a booth. Order taken within minutes and thankfully it’s a smaller menu than your average diner. Got my food within 8 minutes.

Now for the food itself - amazing. Everything was seasoned. Home fries were crispy but tender. Eggs even tasted great. Beef sausage had a great snap albeit it being a bit on the greasier side. Got the waffles and it came out soft but crispy and flavorful.

Overall - I love what they did with the spot and I’ll def be back over and over again

I'm going to cut them a little a bit of slack cause they just opened but honestly they're very over priced! Paid $17 for buttermilk pancake deluxe(2eggs 4 bacon or w.e other meat you want.) It was suppose to be $16 but I guess since they added a couple slices of banana it's $17 lol. They gave me only 1 syrup for 3 pancake, which was good but a little dry cause of the lack of syrup. It also didn't come with any toast. I've been eagerly waiting for them to open cause I've been a bit tired of just going to dunkin donuts every time for breakfast.
