Green Tea Buffet — Restaurant in Pauls Valley

We got there about 1:30 pm after lunch rush. The back half of the dining room wasn't seated, so we had our choice of a booth, which was awkwardly halfway exposed to the buffet traffic or sitting with other diners at long tables. We took the booth. Buffet was standard fare, nothing outstanding. Egg drop soup was stingy with the egg. My husband's selection looked like it had been prepared with red dye. The sweet tea was so sweet that it was undrinkable. The apple dessert my husband tried (we think it was either cobbler or pie) had no flavor or sweetness. The dining room 'hostess' spoke and seemed to understand almost no English; if we couldn't communicate with hand signals, someone else had to take care of requests for silverware, take-out cups, etc. The gentleman watching over the operation, and later, a lady who took over the dining room and cashier duties were both absolutely outstanding. They took great care of the customers and were very personable. These two people were the saving grace of this establishment. This review is provided as constructive opinion and should not be received as anything more or less. I only ate here 3 times and the first time i was not satisfied with the broccoli and beef the broccoli was very crunchy and not really soft as you would expect and beef was not tender it was more flimsy and had no taste that was the first experience the 2nd time it was excellent service it very great they check on Guests to see how the food taste and seem’s they don’t beat around the bush and also the food was excellent the 2nd time and 3rd was just the same as 2nd but the atmosphere it’s depriving it’s not the Guest and not the service its the atmosphere it feels like I am dining in a correctional center. I would change the gray to a more welcoming color the floor mats around the food were dirty I would change those as well The tables and seats are just fine the way they are, but there are some etc. things around the front, and also in the back that are noticeable I understand if there is no space, but these are just the little things that could bother a guest, but overall green tea is a very good and welcoming Buffet...

One of the saddest Chinese buffets I have ever been to. Food didn’t seem fresh or of good quality, and the selection was very limited. Any dishes containing beef were more other ingredients than beef (e.g. had to dig for crumbs of beef in the “beef and broccoli”). Restaurant could have been cleaner, there were food spots stuck on several dishes. Had higher hopes for this place in light of the reviews but was very disappointed especially...
