A beautiful place inside and out that has great food and well made, lovely drinks in faux crystal glasses...I broke my eating wings at a party rule there and I'm definitely going back to have lunch. The waitresses are very nice and such a welcoming atmosphere ⭐ I do have to say that I'm not sure why it seems to be a challenge for CV restaurants to get the Risoij filling quite the right consistency...

By far, the best Cape Verdean food in town!! Katxupa tasted as good as what my mother makes. Price is reasonable and restaurant has been renovated! It looks beautiful inside. I can’t wait to bring my family and friends! If you want delicious traditional CV/Portuguese food this is the place to go!!! I’m a customer for life. I love my katxupa on weekends!

Got some empanada appetizers that were good, and I shrimp dish for our main. Nothing crazy good but a nice , light and flavorful late night dinner.

My wife and I went here because the other restaurant we wanted to try was closed. Never had cape verdean food before so we were nervous but we were pleasantly surprised. Went in on a Friday, seats at the bar all full, every table in the restaurant was empty. Despite being the Only person at a table, not a soul approached me to take an order or ask if I wanted a drink. Sat there for 15 minutes to see what would happen. Nothing. Crickets. I left very dissapointed as to why I was shunned like that. Will never return or recommend this...

I asked if an octopus appetizer existed and was told "yes." Most expensive appetizer costs $14. Received an octopus leg/tentacle cut in half and it was chewy & tasteless. Actually, it was gross. Bill came and it was $25! Waitress couldn't adjust nor reach the owners/manager but admitted that they tend to "stretch" the price of octopus. Shame...
