Central Ave Bakery — Restaurant in Pawtucket

I want to give one star and that's the reason why I'm ex-military my wife and I and family just started going to that bakery the three ladies in the morning with the exception of Maria we do not need to talk back we do not need the bad looks. When we go in there with smiles and are hard and working money we do not deserve to be looked down on or treated bad or talked bad to in a different language. Most of all every time that I did go in there always have a happy smile and always say thank you for being there. Bad attitudes we do not deserve it we work hard for our money and we spend it there. Auto personnel spending money there and they do not deserve the same issues some people don't have vehicles. some elderly do not have a chance to get around. Bottom line what I'm saying is that they shouldn't have bad attitudes. We as in the community are trying to support that store. Especially when it's a giant market down the street. Therefore giving one star is something I've done also I've seen other people that just went into that store have done also. They've all stated the same issue the bad attitudes from the ladies of the counter. But when you speak their language they are wonderful Portuguese language they speak to you. They speak to you with pleasure. Especially when you go in there. As a regular person somebody that's trying to spend their money there...

Friday 3/2 I got 2 grilled tuna plates to my suprise the tuna was grilled and served with the skin on, I never in my life heard of fresh tuna to be cooked with the skin on even worst served with it. I called and spoke to the owner the following day I told him that tuna should not be cooked or served with the skin on, he said that's the way he cooks it all the time, no one complains about it, I was asked if I ate salmon skin of course I said yes, he does not. Of course salmon skin is aetable but tuna skin is not, he should not serve food that's not aetable. "He told me to open my own restaurant and cook it the way I wanted" he did not get what I was telling him. I will never again buy anything from that bakery again. A couple years ago I bought some fresh cheese there and I found a long black hair on it, I stopped going there and just start going back and now this what I get. I just wanted to let the public know about my experience. Very disappointed.

I stopped in on a Saturday afternoon and stood in front of the dessert counter for a minute before being helped. I got a mini cheesecake, red velvet cupcake, and a pastel de nata to go. I was really unimpressed with all three but I thought the red velvet cupcake was the worst as it was dry and pretty flavorless. The cheesecake had a gelatin on it I did not enjoy and the pastel de nata was underdone for my taste having more of a pudding consistency. I probably would not get any of the desserts again but would return to try their bread, grocery, and prepared savory foods.
