Liberty Lunch — Restaurant in Pawtucket

I went here recently with my fiancée for a late-morning breakfast and upon sitting at a booth was greeted by a very rude older waitress who seemed annoyed to even get us a water and a coffee.

I understand working in the service industry can be difficult and draining so I tried to be understanding. The understanding didn't last long because every interaction from that point on was ruder and lacked any pleasantries whatsoever on her part.

The real tipping point was shortly after she dropped off our plates at our table (more like slammed them onto the table), she came back with a coffee pot and just dumped it into my fiancée's coffee cup from pretty high above the table, splashing scalding coffee onto my fiancée's hands and all over our food. Did our waitress seem to care at all? Not even a little bit. She left and we did not see her again at our table until she basically threw our receipt at us before running off again despite me having cash ready for her to take. After a few minutes she finally came back and snatched the receipt and cash away from me. I asked for change as she walked away with it and she sarcastically said something under her breath. When she brought the change back, I reached my hand out to receive it from her and she just flung it into my hand, scattering all the coins onto the table. I'd had enough, left the coins and two dollars and walked out.

I've never experienced such insane disrespect and awful service at any restaurant. Definitely ruined the entire experience and soured me on a local business that I've been occasionally patronizing for the past 15-20 years.

Edit/update: In response to the reply from the owner, we came in on Saturday July 6. Our server was a woman with blonde hair with brown roots and wearing a blue shirt...

I ordered on Tuesday 7/23 I picked mine and my best friends order up I got to my house in cf the Weiners were cold very messy the grease was covering the entire paper and bag they were ice cold and the meat was over cooked and tasted old they had barely any onions on them I ordered 15 of them the other people I had ordered them from ate maybe 3 of them due to me spending all the money I spent I ate 1 and tried to eat 1 other one but the taste was disgusting I couldn’t even finish the second one and my best friend ordered white clam chowder and it went right threw her it was gross-so because I spent the money I didn’t want to just throw them away so I took off the bread and onions and cut it up for my two dogs to have a treat now mind you they love Weiners and my dogs would not even touch them I was and am very disappointed and disgusted with the quality of the food and to top it all off I ended up throwing all the food up. I will never return to this establishment due to the poor quality of food I give it 10 thumbs down and will never return very...

Fried food (fish and chips) to go placed directly into Styrofoam containers prevents me from ever going back. This never used to bother me, but now it does. Get paper. The world has changed. Adapt. It's not fair, but it's reality. OK, it's me not you. Sorry.

Update. 2022. Kip's is now a Bank. World is upside down. I returned to Liberty, the scene of the previous crime mentioned above. I ate in at the counter. 2pm ish. Ordered fries and a wiener. The fries were transferred directly from the frying basket to the plate and served to me directly by the cook. A cardboard plate was not used to try to absorb any grease. The fries and plate were dripping grease. I patted them down with napkins. That was not enough. Greasy mess. Ugh. How can I go back there? I believe it's hopeless. TOO old school. And I like school. Fool me twice... This is the place that...
