To start off with, several years ago. I was at this restaurant, and it was on Memorial Day, and I had a bad experience. I felt rushed, and I felt I wasn't attended to properly. This may have been because it was the holiday, so I did not come back very often or at all. I wish I had. They did not deserve the review I gave them at that time, and I apologize for it. Today is April 30th. I was there for breakfast. I was also there for breakfast yesterday. On both days, I had the same waitress, but I had different meals. The service was fantastic. I don't know how I can stop raving about it. Yesterday it was not busy at all so therefore it was easy for the staff to be attentive. Today, however, was quite busy. There was a weight to be seated, but the weight was very short. And even though I was by myself, the staff was equally attentive to me as they were to the larger parties. The prices are very, very reasonable. The food is delicious. That is one thing that I wrote about last Memorial Day. A few years back, that has not changed. The food has always been delicious. My servers name was Janice. Both yesterday and today. She was very attentive despite having to deal with other tables besides myself, each of us felt in my opinion as we were the only person important to her. Read moreI want to start by saying, I understand that this one bad experience is not in indicator of the business as a whole, I'm sure a sit down experience would be better. I know that delivery orders tend to be rushed to save time. I am just expressing my current disappointment because I just spent $35.00 on food I wasn't able to eat and I want to explain why. I hate leaving bad reviews. I worked in food service for 20+ years and understand the demands of food service, but I would never in my 20 years serve food like this to anyone. I ordered the vegan burger and chips and guac. The burger came with a side of fruit. The fruit was was clearly old and the smell was so strong I could tell before I even opened the container. One of the grapes was wrinkled and moldy. The vegan "burger" patty was just mush, no firmness whatsoever. I took two bites and the rest of it just slid out of the bread. The tomatoes were not fresh, also a mush texture. The "guac" was just mashed avocado in a plastic cup, no onion, no seasoning, no lemon juice, nothing. It was also warm, and the texture was sticky indicating it had been sitting out, unrefrigerated for some time. I am not trying to be mean, but this is not okay. As a chef for 15 years in this industry along with being one of the sous chef and being in this industry for 15 years I asked to describe my disappointment take your time no matter what the food is should not exceed 15 to 20 minutes especially not for breakfast you should take 10 to 15 minutes maximum to get any food out of the kitchen.
We’re talking about breakfast we’re not talking about steaks and sophisticated foods that require a specific level of attention or detail.
I sat there for 35 minutes one day waiting for my food to come out after already waiting 10 minutes from pre-ordering I was waiting 45 minutes almost just for my food...
