So this is my second Subaru from Faulkner. Purchased the first one in '99 from the dealership in Bethlehem Pa (Lehigh Valley). This last one a '15 Outback in great condition in April from the Harrisburg,Pa dealership. Purchased a brand new '18 Crossstrek with my wife from another dealership last May. Dealerships are great for purchasing dependable quality cars, you get what you pay for and it's usually fairly easy to track vehicle maintenance reports. They will also try to sell you every protection plan under the sun while purchasing the car. Because it was a "used car" I was still able to purchase the remainder of the warranty package which will cover me for another few years for major issues that are typically covered under most manufacturer warranties. My issue is that when I bring the car in for service (oil change & tire rotation) they seem to forget that I have already purchased the plan that covers the cost of the service and try to bill me for it. They were great at selling the package and telling me that you'll have no issues, just tell them that you are in for this mileage service and you want to have this service performed and we'll take it from there, not. All these records are to be kept on computer file under my name and account so all we have to do is look you up and you're covered. Ask to have my oil changed and tires rotated, drop off the car but needed a courtesy car to help me out due to schedule, no issue. Upon pick up of my car the oil was changed but tires weren't rotated and then they wanted to charge me for everything. What happened to worry free service? You are busy and so am I, you allegedly have all my personal info on file, you sold me the car off your lot. I don't understand were the issue is. Are you just trying to see what you can get away with, it happens with the other vehicle as well. We didn't purchase the plan with my wife at the time due to cost, I just took her car to that dealership for a tire rotation and oil change. Did the service with no issues, quickly and professionally, the cost...$110 for an oil change and tire rotation...you can get that service elsewhere for half the cost and maintain your warranty, just keep the records. Make sure that any type of work or something that appears to be going wrong is documented even if they say they can't seem to find anything wrong. This way if something does go wrong after your warranty is up you will have a record on which to stand on stating that I've brought the car in for this issue several times and you weren't able to fix it and now the warranty is up and now you can but you're gonna charge me for it. Food for thought, I've been down this road with my '99 with a...

Bought an outback from Faulkner Harrisburg last month. Overall, it was not a great experience. Yes, I did leave with a car that I love, but it wasn't by any help of the sales department. I found the certified pre-owned car listed online, did a lot of research on my own, and was very interested in purchasing only that car. Due to covid, I had to make an appt to see and test it out. The morning I was to drive an hour to see the car, I got a call saying that someone else put a deposit on the car, but "that's okay, we have plenty of new 2021 models for you to try". I made it clear that I wasn't interested in a new 2021 model due to the price range, and would just rather cancel my appt altogether. End of call. Not even 10 minutes later I get a return call, "You're never going to believe this, but the person who had a deposit on the car you want just decided to go with a 2021 model instead, so it's available for you to come see today!!".... seems fishy, am I right?
Despite my research, I did have a few questions, but multiple sales people did not know the answer and said "that's an easy one for you to look up later". If I am purchasing a subaru from a subaru dealership, you'd think someone would have some answers.
After test driving the vehicle, I popped the hood to take a look around. It was VERY obvious to me that basic fluids were low (i.e. Coolant, washer fluid). I pointed this out to my sales person, and they assured me that everything would be topped off before driving off the lot. I'm an idiot and didn't check before I left that day. I checked my fluid levels at home, and absolutely nothing was topped off. Thought I'd check on the oil, and the oil was overfilled and NOT NEW. They sold me a car and didn't even have the decency to top off the fluids and change the oil. Who knows how long some salesman was driving around in the car since the last oil change. I ended up having to buy over $50 of fluids and fill it all myself.
Last, but certainly not least, I was promised a "good deal" if I drove an hour to this dealership. Yet, they refused to deviate from the listed price on the website. Don't have me drive an hour, deprive the car of basic maintenance, and then demand that I pay sticker price!
It is safe to say that I will not be returning or recommending Faulkner Subaru in...
