Better Bowls — Restaurant in Payson

So, so delicious. But SOOO EXPENSIVE! I understand they are using nutritious ingredients and I am usually fine justifying a higher price when I know I'm taking care of my body. I'm also usually okay with spending a little more when I know I'm supporting a local business. That being said, I still choke a little when my total comes out to $14+ for one average sized item, even with "unlimited toppings."

I also have never had a fabulous experience with the workers. They usually seem unknowledgeable about their products, and aren't always friendly. If I'm going to pay that much for a bowl of fruit, they should be able to answer questions like, "what would you recommend for getting over a cold?" Knowing the basic nutrition about your different fruits is necessary when you work at a place like this. Even workers at Jamba do a better job at this.

I think I knew more about the food than they did. At that price, I should be getting excellent food AND service. I'm thinking I'll just buy the ingredients to make this stuff at home. Haha

One more thing- a tip: they have happy hour between 2-4pm (not sure if it's just weekdays or every day). Just the bowls are $2 off at this time. If you get a kids bowl (usually $5.15 I think), the $2 off really helps and it's a nice little dessert/snack. You can still get two flavors of base in the kids size!

Edit: I figured I should probably actually look it up and see what they're ingredients are. Their website is very minimal, with no nutritional information. When I sent them a message, no response. Seemed a little...

I went to better bowls on lunch and got their 24 oz option and let me tell you it's 100% worth it. I've never been here before and I didn't really know what to expect or how to order. But the staff was super patient and amazing. They talked me through. Gave me some suggestions and were very informative. When it comes to the quality of the food, it's amazing. I enjoyed every single bite. Very refreshing and the nice thing is you can ask for a lid if you don't think you're going to finish it all and I did take it with me and it was just all good. The atmosphere is a very cute store. Not a lot of people at the time that I went, but I love the atmosphere. It's very welcoming.

Overall, it's amazing service, food and atmosphere definitely will be coming again in the future to try all the different flavors that they had available!

This place is amazing! I had had like one acai bowl in my life before this and it wasn't great because I had no idea what to get. But I'm trying to be healthier even with my sweet tooth, so I gave this place a try. It was awesome! Sorry I don't remember the girl's name but right when I walked in she asked if she could make me a sample and I ended up just getting what she made me! She suggested toppings and what to get for my toddler and it all turned out amazing. The ingredients are fresh and unique and delicious and I will so be back soon. Oh also, the whole reason I was able to spend the time to make it perfect was because my toddler was busy happily drawing on the chalk wall! Just do it! It WILL be delicious. It's not just acai either they have lots of familiar...
