Beware. They will double charge you. I was there recently and was charged for my table and the table near by. Sounds like an honest mistake, by chance the waitress accidentally swiped my card when cashing out our tables. When I called in to speak with someone I was put on the phone with the Manager Mel. I explained that I was charged $125 for my table and another $130.01 for a table I was not a part of. I explained to Mel that I was from out of town and would be willing to wait on hold with we figured this out. She stated it might take a wile to gather the receipts. I said no problem ill stay on hold. She spoke with me wile she was going through the paperwork and asked what seat I was in. I explained exactly which seat I was in and what we ordered that night. She repeated back my order and the dollar amount which was on my bank statement. She then read off another order and the dollar amount for a table she said was nearby. I said we didn't make that order and she later found the receipt for that table, it was paid by them. At that point I tried to speak with Mel that she charged me for a table that was already paid for and I would like a refund. She stated that she will not give a refund and she claimed its "not her problem". I should take it up with my bank. She made it sound like I was trying to rip them off, but her own statement was she found the receipt for that table and the dollars matched. After trying to reason with her she became rude and kept interrupting me, then she hung up wile I was talking. I called my bank and they explained I should speak to the business first as they would be the fastest method for a return. I called back to explain what my bank told me and she interrupted me again with a "no no no no no" stating again it sounds like i have a problem with my bank, and I will need to contact my bank to get my money back. When I called them back I explained which charge I authorized and which one I didn't. They said that the only thing I could do at this point is dispute the charge. They explained that if I dispute the charge that it could take up to 100 days to complete the process. At that point I was sure the business knew how long the process takes and figured I would just give up. Its been 5 days and not one contact by the manager or owner to remedy the problem, and they do have my number from when I contacted them on several occasions. Today I get a message from my bank about more information about why I would dispute this charge. I guess Mel or the owner denied my dispute furthering the idea that I would give up. Its disappointing to me because I used to live there in Payson and always enjoyed eating at this place. I have been a long time customer since about 2008. I normally choose to eat here when I visit because it was a favorite. But to be taken advantage of and to be treated by the Manager Mel with the rude condescending tone is unacceptable. Its people like them that give some restaurants a bad name. Im not sure if they are under new management or new ownership but they won't last long the this type of...
Read moreEdit: I am disappointed to say the Buffalo Bar has joined the political division and hatred that has taken over the nation. When the headquarters of a political party next door had candidates visit early in the morning, he arrived prior and blocked off his portion of the parking lot, which is his right. He didn't need to, though, because he doesn't open until 11 and the parking lot is huge. When the candidate left, it felt like he was making a statement by removing his rope and pylons. He was still closed. I don't care what side you're on, but if your business is there to serve everyone, why make a special scene like that? Perhaps he should put up a sign that says only members of his political party are welcome? The food there is so good and the wait staff is almost always good. I will likely still come to this restaurant because I don't hold political grudges. However, it does make me think twice and think about other restaurants to try just because that was so blatant and disrespectful, especially in such a small town. Original review: I cannot believe how good the food is here, esp since it is a bar. It is hard to find a place with vegetarian/pescatarians options in Payson, but this place has them! And, not just salads! The garden burger is amazing! The service is good, sometimes better than others, but they get really busy so I still think five stars is well deserved. It is a bit expensive but the food is so good and well, inflation! They have to pay their bills, too! The atmosphere is very Payson and the decor is cute, except for the animal heads, not really into that but to each her own. If you love yourself, get the onion rings. Omg! Yum! $31 (includes 20% tip) for a veggie burger with onion rings and a...
Read moreWe went there on our anniversary (without kids so we were really excited). The servers were very disrespectful towards us from the moment we entered. The food was actually wonderful, but again, the service was awful. We waited for a while to be seated (which wasn’t a big deal) but when someone finally noticed us she pointed us to a table and was unfriendly and borderline rude . They harassed us about ordering food rather than just alcohol (which we were going to do regardless- we had not ordered anything at all yet) but didn’t give us a chance to communicate. They were EXTREMELY short with us the entire time we were there and we felt very unwanted. I asked for an alcoholic beverage that contained coffee and she said they had no coffee which I did not believe (there’s always coffee), but I do believe she did not want to go and make the coffee. The table nearest us was not treated the same way. The same servers were very friendly and accommodating to them. Not sure what was going on and I made my husband still leave a decent tip, but it was not deserved. I don’t want to write this to be “that customer” but I’m just hoping it will either help someone leave earlier if the signs, or perhaps the owner will see it and investigate further. I would give it two stars because the food was so good but because of how we were treated on our five year anniversary, I...
