So disappointing! We love the original and so we're excited that this one was convenient to our route. The first indication that it would be a bumpy ride was when we signed in with the hostess and were told it would be a 15-20 minute wait (despite many tables being unused, but also not bussed).
Customers waiting for tables were seated on the window ledge behind counter seating. It was snug, but not ridiculously so. There was a woman eating at the bar who was very bothered by our sitting there. She kept turning around to look at us and eventually packed up her food in a to-go box. She turned to us and asked us to move down the ledge, as we were making her uncomfortable, so much so that she was getting her food to go! So, this was not the restaurant's problem, but just added to our overall negative experience. As she was leaving, she told my husband how rude he was to have been standing over her shoulder while she was trying to eat. He was standing several feet behind her and off to the side watching the soccer game on the tv over the bar. My advice: Don't sit at the counter in the bar area if you have an issue with people standing behind or near you.
In the meantime, a couple who came in after us was seated at a four top. So we had to keep waiting. Behind the woman at the counter.
Once seated, in the back room (even though tables were available in the front room), the service was fine. The food was ok, nothing special. There were a few snafus with the order.
Overall, we were underwhelmed by the food, ok with the waitstaff, disappointed by the hostess/seating experience, and puzzled and offended by The Woman at...
Read moreYASSSSSS HUNTY, YASSSSSS!!!! I had a Drs appt this morning and afterwards, wanted to treat myself to breakfast. This is the 2nd time I've visited this restaurant. . first time at this location. First time was in Charlotte, NC.
All I can say is:. YASSSSSS! It was a very nice morning so I elected to sit out front on the patio (which is covered). My server, Naomi 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾. Very friendly, welcoming, knowledgeable and all around pleasant to have assist me with breakfast. I was torn between the Chorizo Chicken bowl or the Turkey Hash. I didn't want potatoes because of the carbs so she suggested the Turkey Hash with grits. Everybody can't make grits so... I turned my nose up at that idea. She said, "I'm from GA. We don't play about our grits. Let me bring you a sample.". I was like, ok.. she has confidence in them so I'll try them. She brought me a sample and OMG! 😱😱. They were VERY smooth, creamy... cooked with cream, butter and they added a bit of white cheese in them. You ever heard that saying, "it's so good that it will make you slap your mama?!". I LOVE MY MAMA but good Lord those grits were good. Do, I ordered the turkey has with a fried egg white on top. The Turkey was slow roasted, with great seasoning, tender with an amazing gravy on top of the grits with the egg places on top and cheddar cheese. They serve their biscuits with some YUMMY apple butter spread. I could not eat it all... 😋😋😋😋
If you have time sit sit and savor some great food and a wonderful atmosphere, please do yourself a favor and stop in to this restaurant. You will NOT be...
Read moreI ordered Flying Biscuit at Peachtree Corners via Uber eats as I have done in the past. I ordered the Florida Sunshine Waffle Breakfast and I was excited to eat it. Unfortunately for me this time I received a sticker like piece of paper baked inside of my waffle. I’ve contacted Uber but wanted to call the location to let them know what happened. I spoke to the Manager and he apologized and offered me two free breakfasts. I appreciated the gesture but somewhat felt that he trivialized the issue by saying oh it just fell in when they were cooking. They move fast back there. I understand that but safety and organization and space should be a top priority in the food industry at this time. I suggested that they may want to rearrange their setup in the kitchen to ensure this doesn’t happen again. I declined the meals and will not be eating from this location ever again. It makes me wonder what other things can be happening in that kitchen. I’m disappointed because the food is generally good but I’m now concerned of health and safety issues. Suppose that was a band-aid. People touch these stickers and I could’ve choked. And with the current climate with covid-19 I could’ve been seriously injured or worse! You all may want to think twice before eating at...
