Chipotle Mexican Grill — Restaurant in Pearl

This Chipotle franchise is an example of how you RUIN a brand. The workers in this restaurant are jaded and are not engaged with customers and are probably $7/hr. The woman who made my tacos put the skimpiest amounts of rice and steak on our food. I asked if that was the correct amount and she said curtly 'Yes' and that I must have never been in here before. The food bar was a total wreck - everything grossly leaking into the next container - and they were out of about half of everything. Wilted lettuce had gravy all in it. I wanted to walk out - it was gross. The food was horrible and stone cold. I don' think they even warm the food bar. It was staffed like a really bad Jackson fast food restaurant - and it's been open only a little while. They won't last - especially at those insane prices. What a really sad first impression. Chipotle is my daughter’s favorite place to eat. She eats there so many times in a week I probably should check into stock! We have been all over the country at many chipotle restaurants and this one saddened me most unfortunately. The staff was pretty good. The atmosphere was decent. The food this time was lacking. There was no lettuce. There was no kids meal orange. There were no hard shell tacos. The chips were stale. They were almost out of napkins even but we were able to get some from the back. The restroom smelled like mold though none could be seen. Not sure what that was about. I also got charged full price for an incomplete and sub-par meal. The girl that served us the food was pretty great though. It was great to see a happy face through it all. Hoping for a better visit on a future...

After a doctor's appointment, my husband and I drove 40 miles out of route to get lunch at Chipotle. When we walked in, there was a long line because despite it being 15 minutes past opening, they were not ready for service . A lot of the food was not ready. When they finally started to serve, I assumed all menu items were available. I was wrong. I wanted a burrito bowl with steak and fajita veggies. I waited for the steak to be chopped. I was then informed that no fajita veggies had been prepared yet. My husband and I improvised with whatever they had available instead of what we actually wanted to order. I hope today's service was not indicative of the norm, but it was very disappointing, especially after going out of our way to get here. I will never visit this...
