Look, my husband and I LOVED this place when it first opened. It was our go-to date night. We moved away several years ago, and I decided to order take-out tonight since we hadn’t been there in awhile. I was SHOCKED! The food was horrible! We ordered two hibachi steaks. The steak was a poor cut of meat, completely unseasoned, and dry. There was no sauce that it is usually cooked in, and the meat was flavorless. The rice had no flavor and might as well have been steamed instead of fried rice. We ordered a chicken tempura appetizer, which also had no flavor, was dry, and didn’t come with any dipping sauce (it used to come with something like potsticker sauce). My husband said that we should have picked up OEC. It is less than half the price, and you know that you will have a decent meal. I just wanted something that wasn’t like “fast food” hibachi take out. Tonight’s food from Kobe made OEC seem like an upscale restaurant. Don’t waste your money. Oh, and I should have known something was up when I saw a sign behind the register saying “No refunds on food without evidence it was bad.” Really? How many people have to complain about your food for you to post a sign like that! But I ignored it because I thought it would be the same quality as years ago. It was so bad that we quit eating after anout a fourth of it, and we didn’t even save the leftovers. I originally planned to take my leftovers to work, but it wasn’t even worth it. I thought about two stars only because the soup was delicious. I guess it is impossible to make...
Read moreWe went for an early dinner. There was two other people seated at the hibachi already eating. We actually didn't want to sit at the hibachi but were rushed over there anyway. The waiter asked us before we even looked at the menu what we wanted at least three times. My daughter wanted sushi which is why we were there. We aren't from the area and their online menu indicated they had sushi. She ordered sushi and I would have to but since we were struck at the hibachi I felt obligated to order that. A few minutes later the waiter comes back and says sushi was only for lunch. My daughter said the menu showed a dinner price. Few minutes later another person Congress 9 back and says now the sushi chef isn't there so she has to order hibachi. So she did. The hibachi chef only spoke to all how we wanted our meat done. Stuff was thrown on our plate. Soup and salad were brought to us midway through us trying to eat the hibachi. We got to keep that for about 3 minutes before the waiter was back taking it away. My daughter never even got to taste her salad. Two bites later to go boxes and our check were brought. So we took the hint and left. Start to finish we were in there 18 minutes for hibachi dinner that cost me $36. The one positive was the hibachi was cooked well and tasted good. We ate it out of Styrofoam in our hotel. I have never felt more rushed out of...
Read moreWe were dedicated customers for over 3 years. We took kobe At least 10 new customers. Four of us went into eat and the new waitress forgot to turn our order into the cook so we did not get our food! We told them to cancel our order so they tried to charge us $37 for sweet tea, soup and Salad. After wasting 45 minutes of our time I paid the same waitress that didn’t turn our order in $25. The next time we went in the owner acted like we didn’t pay anything to his waitress but we did or we would not have went back. Maybe the waitress put the $25 in her pocket and didn’t turn it in. Doesn’t matter now! The owner showed his true colors by trying to challenge me to a fight! Very unprofessional! He’s lucky, I didn’t want a life sentence for fighting in Stankin Rankin! Hinds country would have been a different story! Stay clear from Kobe unless you want to fight the owner!...
