Cannot rate the food since we were not served. My wife and I stopped by anticipating having a great meal. Everything started well enough. Better than expected, actually. We pulled into the parking lot in Pell City, Alabama around 3 o’clock on Saturday, May 24, 2025. We walked in and were seated right away. Well, almost seated. The table we were about to sit in needed servicing. Set but, still needed to be cleaned. Not a big deal. One of the workers wiped the table down and then we were seated. The time was approximately 3:10. We waited for about 10 minutes and still were not asked what we would like to drink. I told my wife that if someone didn’t get our drink orders (by one of the 3 waitresses servicing that small area) within 5 minutes we were leaving. At that moment a table for 6 was seated near us. I then told my wife that if they were served before us, the five minute buffer I set earlier would not be honored. About 30 seconds after they were seated, a waitress started taking their drink orders. We simply got up from our seats and let the folks at the front of the store know that we were leaving without eating. Well, my wife did. I just walked out. The hostess did apologize. I’m sure this was an isolated event and I’m also sure that the patrons in the restaurant enjoyed whatever food they were allowed to order. I’m also aware that there could be a viable explanation for us being overlooked, like, a shift change. It really doesn’t matter how ridiculous the explanation will be-if one is even offered. I appreciate all of you who have taken the time to read this rather exhaustive review. Lastly, I will not visit the Outback Steakhouse in Pell City ever in the future. Read moreHey y'all. Went to Outback in Pell City Alabama on a Friday night. Got there early to avoid a wait and told the hostess we would like a high top. She told us she didn't have a server for the hightops even tho there were multiple servers standing around. I told her it was not my problem that the server that was assigned to the high tops wasn't on the clock yet. She finally submitted to our request as the server arrived early and a bus boy went to get her. Saige was a good server, took our drink orders and we ordered a appetizer. We waited a bit and she came back by and asked if we were ready to order. We did, but I told her to make sure the timing was right and not bring our dinner till we were done with the appetizer. Well...... A expediter came back with our potato soup, one of our sides, before the appetizer even got to us. We went ahead and ate the soup and our chees fries arrived in the middle of that. We finished our soup and was about halfway thru our fries and bamm, our entrees arrived... Bad timing, especially after I told her to make sure it didn't happen. Well, we went ahead and ate. Food was great. When our bill came and I paid I was emailed a copy of the receipt. After looking over the bill we discovered there was a $2 upcharge for each of or side bowls of potato soup, AND an upcharge for our Aussie cheese fries being LAYERED so there was cheese and bacon in the middle of our fries??? Come on, just make the dang fries correctly with cheese all the way thru them! What the heck is the upcharge for??? Definitely disappointing and will not go back....
Read moreMy husband and I came in for late lunch today. To say it was a sad event is being nice. We ordered the 3 course meal. They are out of bread and will bring out shortly. My husband has a garlic and onion allergy, I ordered my salad with no onions and no croutons. Our salads came and mine was stacked with onion, the server said "his said allergy". So I just rake the onions off. After we had eaten the salad we asked for bread. Then comes the meal, his has tons of house seasoning. The server (different person) says " it said onion allergy". House seasoning is made with onion and garlic.... They take it back. Long after I finished my meal, here comes his. After he finishes our waitress comes to collect ticket. Said sorry for trouble. I said we never got our desserts. To which she replied "do you want it to go?" I asked for cheesecake my husband wanted to brownie without ice-cream, cause it would just melt. She says "well your bill will be more there is a up charge, it says it on the menu". Yes, it does, I agree. However, she should have asked before wanting to be paid. With this we paid and left.
