Instead of breakfast i chose the dbl paddymelt with onions and hashbrowns with cheese. Hashbrowns were great as usual, but the paddymelt was dry due to beef patties being so overcooked. My wife had ham, egg and cheese on toast, eggs cooked well and hashbrowns in the ring. Hashbrowns were great, but her sandwich was very dry as well. We eat at waffle house (leeds, al) approx 5 times a week and will continue to do so, but grill master at this location (pell city) needs to work on making juicier sandwiches. Waiter did a great job, no issues there at all. UPDATE 10/28/23 Waffle House Pell City was busy on arrival but we were quickly seated at the bar and Q (OUTSTANDING waitress) took our order immediately. (She is working the Pell City location due to Leeds location being remodeled) Food was delivered relatively quick, however my cheese eggs were cold, hash browns were warm, but way overcooked, and sausage patties were overcooked on one side and cold on the opposite side. When we went to check out, we noticed the grill cook had 8 plates, 5 with eggs sitting waiting for sides and pickup. They were pre cooking multiple pieces of bacon and sausage, as well as toast. Not impressed at all with anything from the Pell City location other than our waitress. Pre cooking meats and toast should not be allowed since it will be cold once customers receive plates. Can't wait til the Leeds...
Read moreAs someone who grew up in Alabama but spent years up north, I’ve been to my fair share of Waffle Houses — from spotless gems to the classic “Waffle House fight clubs.” But this one? This location is beyond unacceptable. Honestly, it feels like it needs to be shut down for a full health inspection.
There were flies smashed on the windows, the floors looked filthy even after a sweep and mop, and somehow, my food still came out cold right after being cooked — which makes no sense at all. It defies basic logic and cleanliness standards.
To be fair, the service was friendly — my coffee was refilled and the staff checked in on everyone — but no level of kindness can make up for the absolute state of this restaurant. The visual filth alone was enough to ruin any appetite, and the food didn’t help.
This place doesn’t just need a cleanup — it needs a full inspection and overhaul. Until then, do yourself a favor and avoid this Waffle...
Read moreThis place is pitiful! My husband ordered a medium T-Bone steak and it was so overdone that it was close to cardboard! My nephew ordered a plain double-meat hamburger with Bacon. Well the cook screwed up and put cheese on it and the waitress just told him to scrape the cheese off and I had to throw away the lertuce, tomato and onions that was on it! I made them re-cook the burger and my child had to wait for almost 15 minutes and watch us and his best friend eat while waiting! This is unacceptable. My pork chops were over-cooked as well! Best friend asked for a cheese burger with lettuce, tomato and bacon and his burger had onions on it and had cubes of ham on the side of his burger. Whatever that was for I don't know! Then charged me $40.81 for nearly the worst meal I have ever had at...
