Pizza Ranch — Restaurant in Pella

My last experience at Pizza Ranch was horrible. I had made plans with a friend that had to be postphoned and so my 4 kids and I stopped at pizza ranch for the evening buffet. 1st there were NO tables clean or available so many had reservation signs on them. 2nd while I was standing with my 4 children waiting for a table we were unable to grab any food or drink (no table) and a large group of people came in. I finally found a staff member to clean a table for us but by the time we got to the buffet the food was gone... I mean notta. no chicken, no pizza. So I asked the staff member for a pizza for my children and they even got that order wrong. The manager came out and said "well what do you want me to do?" Seriously-- what I wanted was to feed my children after paying a small fortune for evening buffet but instead i got hassle and rudeness. We have frequented the Ranch quite a bit over the last 6 years but I can find a new place to give my business to which is unfortunate because I love the...

We arrived when the buffet was still open and obviously full of food, but were rudely told the buffet had just closed a mere 3 minutes prior. So we ordered off the menu instead. When we were seated, there were only three other customers seated the entire time we were there, but yet it took the servers over an hour and a half to bring us our food. They first brought our first pizza after 20 minutes which was fine. But it took them over a half an hour to bring my salad, which I assumed would be the fastest. My pizza didn’t come for another 20 minutes after that. And it wasn’t until the very end of our time there that they finally brought breadsticks, and two chicken breasts (one of which was great, but the other was cold, dry, and slimy). Bummed. Love this place, the owners, staff, cleanliness factor, etc. Haven't been to the buffet in years & was super excited to go! Everything was great except for the shoddy selection of blah pizzas looking dried out & unappetizing. Darn. They do still allow you to custom order a pizza that is then brought to your table first for picking your pieces, & that one was fresh and hot! But at a buffet you want appetizing selections at the ready! Even the dessert pizza was lacking...2 old pieces...that was it 😭. We ordered a fresh one and then had to sit and wait for it.
