I arrived hungry at 3:40pm. Oh! I was looking forward to the famous OutLaw Ribeye bone in; now priced at $30. I was seated; the server was a very pleasant. How do you want your steak? I replied middle-well. After about 25 mins; the steak arrived charcoaled, thin, tough to chew and overcooked. She took it back; the manager comes; apologized and said; I want to make you happy. I concurred. He took my order and about 20 mins later the 2nd Out Law steak arrived. The server waits until I cut it; it’s bleeding rare. She takes it back; after another 25 mins the manager brings out the next 3rd Out Law steak and he is now unpleasant and seems annoyed that his chef messed up two $30.00 steaks and that I would not accept it. With an unpleasant demeanor he wants to sit with me until I cut it. Now he’s rude and unpleasant with the audacity to turn his annoyed demeanor toward me. How dare you want your steak your way. The 3rd Out Law ribeye steak is middle rare, but a much better cut, they take it back and sear it a little more. It’s now mid-well and quite tasty. The sweet potato was charcoal burned, awful and not eatable. I just showed it to the server. The manager forgot the customer is paying $30. for a steak; so get it right the first time. That’s all. After being seated; I waited approximately 90 mins until I received an acceptable Out Law Rib Eye bone in Steak. After about 2 1/2 hours later; I left somewhat satisfied with the Steak.
The server was wonderful and pleasant; I reflected her service in her tip.
This manager and some other restaurants want you to accept what they give you. Unfortunately, so many people accept it. I refuse. 1) They have no incentive to improve. 2) I pay for good food and service or I can cook at home.
The power of a poor review should help them realize; we don’t have to come into your restaurant and accept hot headed managers. He truly offended me; but being a single woman alone I chose not to cause a confrontation and ruin what was otherwise a great day. If I was with a man he would not have disrespected me that way.
I wrote this because the manager who claimed to be doing the right thing; took a bad turn and a very unpleasant attitude when it was clear the steak was not cooked as I ordered.
Nonetheless, I do enjoy that occasional Out Law Ribeye Steak, perhaps I will visit another location and have a better dining experience where the Chef gets it right the first time.
A little long, but it needed to be...
Read moreWe arrived at 3 pm on a Sunday afternoon so we Knew that there would be a wait. We were told 40-50 mins but got seated in just 25 so off to a great start right?? We were greeted by our server in a timely fashion and our order put in. An order of French fries for my 5 year old took too long to get to the table and our server apologized for That. It seemed like we waited longer for our Meals than for the table and our server kept looking over apologetically. My medium ribeye( I am culinarian and not scared of some tasty blood juice) was definitely medium rare and my husband who is always specific about " no red" for his well done still ended up with pink meat. His side broccoli was also MIA. The manager on duty offered to" throw them back on the grill " but who had the time? He threw in a free dessert which ended up being the Worst thing of the entire experience. What was supposed to be Delicious donut holes that looked oil logged, tasted of fish and legit stale oil. We paid and tipped well the server for her job done adequately and left without mentioning the dessert fiasco.
I called when I got home. The cook in me was screaming! I didn't want a free meal, just wanted to save someone else from having bad fried food. I NoW understand the dark color of my baby's fries 🤔 After asking to speak to the manager I was placed on hold for very long time:expected to hang up. I am patient. A non manager picked up explained that they were very busy and I explained my need to alert the manager of the kitchen's shortcomings.
I usually give easy good/ great reviews but this dining experience was not enjoyable and cost too much to have had that last pungent bite be...
Read moreExcellent service by our waitress named Jillian. She was very attentive, meticulous, and dedicated. She was all smiles with a friendly personality. The person that seated us was also very friendly, too. (We didn't have to wait long to get seated.)
I hadn't eaten here in years, so when I ordered the Texas Tonion appetizer I imagined it was going to look like one big blooming onion (all in one piece); which was my favorite way of eating it here long ago. But instead, this appetizer is now served as separate crispy pieces of onion petals. It's been a very long time since I've eaten here.
My sweet potato was delicious. It was served nice and hot. My salad was okay. My husband ate a steak salad and he said he enjoyed it.
The restaurant was busy and customer service was excellent for such a busy lunch time.
Update: I had wrote my original review immediately after leaving the restaurant (giving it 5 stars). 8 hours later though, my husband and I suddenly felt symptoms of food poisoning. We thought through about what we both had eaten recently that may have caused our food poisoning. The only thing we could think of, that we both ate the same thing of in the past 48 hours, was the salad we both ordered at Longhorn's. He had the steak salad and I had the strawberry salad. We both felt the food poisoning symptoms at the same time (about 8 hours later).
I had to take off 3 stars due to it. I would have kept it at 5 stars if we both didn't get this sick afterwards, because we had an...
