Was super excited to see a QDOBA open in this area. Made a 32 minute drive to get there. The line was so long (which is fine) and there were about 20 people ahead of me. The entire place has about 9 tables and a bigger community style 8-person table. From the time I walked in to the time I paid, the wait was 34 minutes. There was absolutely no sense of urgency while assembling the food, and only two (very nice) gentleman were on the on the line. By the time I left, the line was twice as long as when I walked in.
Here’s where I really got annoyed: The entire time, people in line sent someone to “reserve” a table for them. So by the time you were done the line, there were no tables to sit at because people would grab them as they became available and sit there and wait for their friend or whoever to get their food.
With a 34 minute wait, there was plenty of time for people to finish and leave a table and cycle them out. I asked what I believe was a manager or owner (blue polo) why they’re letting people reserve tables and he said “yeah, I keep telling them but there’s not a lot we can do.”
There IS a lot you can do because the entire 34 minute wait he was standing there smiling. He filled one cup, and wiped down two tables. He never even spoke to people reserving tables.
When I got done, there was an open table only to be taken first by someone who had just walked in with her husband getting into line. Only 3 of the tables of people had actual food and the rest were reserved for their friends who were waiting in line. The community table was occupied by 2 people not eating who spread their sweatshirts out over the table to block off anyone else from sitting. I went out and ate in my car.
The food in general was just fine. It wasn’t the qdoba I remember from a few years ago.
In all, it wasn’t worth the 32 minute drive that I was excited for.. people shouldn’t have to go eat in their cars when only 3 tables are occupied with diners and the rest are reserved while waiting for someone in a 34...
Read moreI’ve frequently visit this QDOBA to order food for my family. On average spending $40+ each visit. The service is usually good, except whenever I encountered one employee. They refused to provide her first name so I will only describe her as an older Latin female, hair normally in a bun and the bun portion is blonde. She is beyond rude, lack any form of customer service and should not work in the service industry. One would think I was not a customer. I have let my experience go for weeks until now, and after speaking with others that has had the same experience with her I do feel some one in leadership should know.
I went in with my spouse, I placed the order for two bowls and he placed the order for his bowl. She was unaware we were together. She scooped an extremely shallow spoon of chicken and threw it into my bowl. Upon realizing I expressed to the next young lady that more chicken should be added. Although she agreed, it was the older lady decision whether to add it. Another young man walks over, agrees it was very little chicken, proceeded to speak her in Spanish basically letting her know and she continued to disagree. He pushed her to add more, she then puts three tiny pieces of chicken on the spoon and throws it in my bowl. I then ask for the bowl to be remade and he then go to the counter behind her add the chicken himself. This employee proceeds to look at me and turn her back to ensure I knew her thoughts. My husband then says out loud “that was disrespectful how she put the chicken in the bowl”. I expressed my feelings to the young man, paid, and left. People like her will ruin...
Read moreI travel extensively for work. I love eating at Qdoba in Denver several times. Naturally, I was excited to see that a location opened up within 10 minutes of my home! Walking into the restaurant if that like any other Qdoba. I love that all toppings are included. I like the other places.
Where this experience started to go wrong was with the incredibly small portion of chicken, followed by the statement “we no longer sell cups of water,” and ending with the bit into my burrito, at which point, I discovered the chicken was old and dry.
Starting with the portion size, this was the smallest amount of chicken I’ve seen on any burrito at any major chain, including Chipotle and Moe’s.
The statement that Qdoba no longer gives out free water was absolutely ridiculous. I was told that I could use my own cup or water bottle… Who does that? Most restaurants specifically state that you are not to use your own water bottle for sanitary purposes. Could you imagine someone using their own personal water bottle and then touching the lip of their bottle to the dispenser? You would have instant spread of bacteria and viruses. That is one of the most unsanitary comments I’ve ever heard.
This all sounds like a penny-pinching franchisee to me, not a corporate policy. I’ve eaten at the other locations out West in Texas and Colorado with no issues whatsoever.
On a positive note, the two people working in the front line were...
