I wanted to contact the restaurant directly to address this, but the only contact is via Facebook. We became Die Hard regulars - but if they keep serving dried out carnitas that will change quickly. Poor experiences now outnumber great experiences. The Pembroke location doesn't even seem to have someone managing it....or anyone concerned about what is coming out of the kitchen. It's certainly not a concern for those in the kitchen.

The bartenders don't like waiting tables. Don't make them. Guests suffer and are neglected. So many missed opportunities to sell more food/beverage.

Last time, my partner ordered the Carnitas platter and got served some other shredded meat with white rice. No explanation given. After we realized the mistake, we questioned it and they admitted to the substitutions. They should have just told us it wasn't available - in the first place.

Tonight the carnitas was like jerky, but with less moisture.

Secondly, portions are shrinking. Getting skimpy. Not a problem if the quality is lower and you don't want to finish what you are given anyways. This happened to both of us tonight. Carnitas was incredibly dried out. Not the moist meat we fell in love with.

We know what this place is capable of. Please return your focus to quality and consistency. That will drive your success.

Pinching pennies always leads to lost dollars. We will happily spend $600+ a month, but only if you figure out who isn't following instructions.

There is no good reason for the quality to suffer this quickly.

Original Review below.

So unbelievably great! Much better than anything we've ever had locally (including a few in the South End). Since finding out about this place, we go twice a week. One Sunday night they closed Pembroke early to fix the AC (I think)........and we drove to the one in Marshfield without a second thought (never even considered other options - for any type of food - close by).......and that was equally excellent.

We have barely explored the menu, because the carnitas dishes are so outrageously delicious.

Please, please. please......never change a thing. Not one recipe or ingredient.

Everything is great quality and you can taste it.

Easily the single best meal I've had in months and we usually do finer dining. A lot of our old haunts will wonder what...

As a professional in the hospitality industry, who has had the joy of traveling, knowing, and appreciating diverse cultures especially culinary art. Also, as Google Guide, enough reasons to give five stars to this restaurant “Don Bravo II,” in the city of Pembroke, Massachusetts. Imagine visiting a restaurant with Mexican culture in the middle of May 5, you know the chaos that exists everywhere, since Mexican cuisine is recognized worldwide, and in the USA, it is no exception. So, all the restaurants cannot cope. So, imagine arriving at a restaurant without a reservation, and being greeted with a smile, in a spacious, clean, well-decorated place, with parking available. And, above all, the food is delicious, the drinks are tasty, with the exact level of alcohol, the service is exceptional, the portions are adequate, and you pay the right price?... It was what I experienced when visiting Don Bravo with twenty-two friends ready to enjoy a new culinary experience, and these culinary artists did not disappoint me.!. My favorite dishes are the piña loca, and of course the fresh guacamole made to order, and among those dishes , everyone has their favorite. My guests were amazed by the gastronomic experience, and I was feeling even better since I am planning to return. I recommend it, and I invite you to experience genuine Mexican cuisine, but in American territory, prepared by Mexicans, with authentic, clean, and fresh ingredients. And, if you read my review, tell them that...

We went during opening week and had a wonderful experience! Was excited to go celebrate Mother's Day there today. Our Server was Hannah. Absolutely no pre bussing. Appetizer plates and trash left on table during almost our whole dinner until another Server finally noticed and removed them. We had Chipotle enchiladas. Did not enjoy mine at all. Hannah never ONCE checked back to see how anything was. When she came to clear our dinner plates she asked if I wanted a box, when I declindd she didn't even ask why she was taking away my meal that I hardly touched. Enjoyed cocktails, I ordered the same one twice. 2nd brought in a entirely different glass made entirely differently. When I asked Hannah why? Again...no concern. She was far from busy or overwhelmed. Have been in the biz myself for years and have trained countless Servers. Tonight was a complete let down. Mainly, our service. Plus, we wanted to enjoy dinner out on Mother's Day. Doubt we will ever go back. We were so excited when you...

I think I’ve tried pretty much everything on the menu since they opened last month. Whether you get takeout or dine in, the food is ALWAYS fresh and beautifully prepared. Service is great even when they are completely packed. Staff work very hard and are always professional. The restaurant itself is tastefully and stylishly decorated. Plenty of parking in the back of the plaza as well as some in the front. They are open 7 days a week for lunch and dinner which is unheard of these days. The bar area has some large screen TVs and the most fabulous drinks, my favorite being the passion fruit mojito. I’ve brought a lot of friends here some who are either chefs themselves or just simply passionate about food. and every one of them loved it. The atmosphere is casual. The delightful ambiance and the traditional music makes you so welcome that you just don’t want to leave…

Went to Don Bravo last night for some drinks and appetizers. The blueberry Margarita was very good, the mango margarita was ok(not better than Longhorn’s one)…. $15 dollars was a bit pricey. For appetizers we had the Guacamole which was the best I ever had in US territory for sure!!!! Wings had nothing special and the empanadas were greasy even though they were baked( do not recommend). Sitting on the back exterior area didn’t help us getting the best attention from our waiter but service was ok even though I had to ask 3 times for some extra sauce and wait longer than usual for a beer( place was not that busy so no excuses). They are not 5 stars for sure but also don’t deserve a 4 stars. I definitely will be back and give it another chance before I revise this review.
