The Good: The food prep area was busy at 7:30pm on a Tuesday night, so my hopes were not super high, but I was actually quite pleased with what I got. The best dish was the Cheese steak macaroni… very, very, delicious. I also tried a tuna sub, chili, and chicken tenders. The Chili and tuna were both good as well, but the chicken tenders were on the small side and just a tad too overdone. The prices were also very reasonable. I will be coming back for food again. They also have a very nice selection of drip coffee to choose from and a large selection of pre-made foods, both cold and hot. There is plenty of parking and two entrances/exits on the building.
The Bad: While the food was good, I was not given a bag to carry the food out in. This would be OK if it was just one thing, but with four food items it was certainly awkward to carry. I must give another negative mark for the fact that their coffee creamers are all generic and they had no sugar free options that I could find.
The Ugly: I love a good fountain soda, but I will not be coming here for it. They only have a single fountain soda machine, which is tucked into a corner, and it is one of those horrendous Coca-Cola Freestyle machines. These machines should be banned for so many reasons, the first and most significant reason is that they are full of germs from people touching the same screen all day. They often do not work correctly and are always dirty. If you get behind a kid or an old person you will be waiting all day as they scroll through every flavor option and then struggle to figure out how to make the soda come out. Two single-occupancy bathrooms with only a toilet, sink, and air dryer make you feel like you’re in a Shell gas station from the 1990s, which is ridiculous and unacceptable in 2025. You are going to see a big backup of people waiting for these two bathrooms when the contractor and construction crowds come in at lunchtime. I could paint you a picture of what the toilet looked like, but I think you can imagine that on your own, without help from me.
In conclusion, I will be back for the food, which was good. But the lack of sugar free creamers and the germ factory soda machine will make this a food only stop for me. Rutters will continue to be the best option in South Hanover, with Sheetz coming in a distant second, and this new Wawa sucking up exhaust fumes...
Read moreCrossFit Hanover was the new Wawa location's first catering order! I went in 2 weeks prior to my event and asked what the procedures were to place a catering order and what that looked like. I spoke with a manager who told me to order my items through the catering app 3+ days prior to my event - everything on the app was clearly marked and laid out and the ordering process was very simple!
I dropped in about 90min before my scheduled pickup time to ask if I could add another box of coffee to my order and the Food and Beverage Manager Jessica said "No problem at all!" I was impressed that I didn't receive a frazzled response as she was buzzing around the store doing [what seemed like] 7 different things - she was happy to meet my needs.
I arrived a little later to pick up my items - everything was packed up and ready - heated items came in heat-safe zipper bags to keep items warm and all the smaller items were put in a large bag so I didn't have to make 7 trips out to my car. They were very friendly, very helpful, very accommodating. Jessica was awesome to work with.
The pastries were individually wrapped and while they looked like something you'd just grab off the shelf in the store, they tasted freshly baked. They were HUGE too, which made my event attendees happy. The hot items - breakfast burritos, egg bites.. all were hot and fresh tasting. The coffee was great too.
Great experience all around. Pricing was very fair for what I got. I recommend Wawa catering without...
Read moreGreat food and coffee. The place is clean and the staff is very nice and helpful. I love the mint mocha Iced Coffee and sugar cookies.
Good place to to sit and eat but NO outlets to work from. I always bring my own power just incase but the lack of power made it feel unwelcome for working. No one said I couldn't stay or questioned me being there for 1.5 hours. I just need places outside my home to work to keep from going stir crazy. I was hoping this was my alternate to Sheetz.
I was excited to have a wawa here in Hanover. I grew up in South Jersey with a Wawa my whole life before here. Wawa different then what I'm used to but...
