Fancy vietnamese place with a stage and music playing and I guess some sort of Vietnamese idol singing show.
It's says lounge, which I guess happens at night in the center. I saw something on Facebook saying the food was really good, so I stopped by. I had thought it was like the mini karaoke rooms, just with food, but you can come for a normal meal. It's very nice inside, adorned with art and mirrors and what not.
When you sit down, they give you some peanut appetizer, like bread at an Italian place.
Got the No. 2 shrimp summer rolls, No. 8 Banh mi, No. 21, shaking beef and rice (with fried rice), No. 30, DVR sizzling steak platter, and a sugar cane drink.
It was all very good, all the bread was soft and fresh. The banh mi isn't as full of meat as other places, but I guess that's why it's an appetizer. They also weren't that spicy from the jalapeno. It seems like they scraped out the jalapeno seeds, so if you want it spicier, probably should ask for it.
The summer rolls came with the perfect amount of peanut sauce, hardly any left over. The sizzling steak comes with cubed meat like the shaking beef, a meat ball, vietnamese butter, and an over easy egg.
The shaking beef fried rice came with a little sauce dish of spice. Was nice. The sugar cane drink had a citrus flavor, probably orange which is typical. Would recommend.
The layout of the hall is mostly 3 sided booths lining the walls, and a few tables in the middle. The booths probably has seats for 5 for a small booth and 11 at a large booth. Very clean and seemed newly finished or at least very well maintained booths. They all pointed toward the center stage, so you could face other patrons.
Workers were very pleasant, asking how everything was and chatted a bit with us. I'm guessing it was the owners.
Because of the layout and the decor, it has a more upbeat party sort of atmosphere. Would probably be somewhere you'd want to take a group of friends to meet.
They also had some seafood specials that I'm curious what they are. They almost seem like seafood boil. May need to try with a group of friends though.
Bathrooms are pretty modern, men's had 2 urinals and 2 stalls. Plenty of free...
Read moreI recently visited a Vietnamese restaurant at a Plaza, which is now under new management and a new name. I must say, this restaurant stands out with its unique menu featuring dishes like fried chicken feet, seasoned to perfection! The prices are incredibly reasonable, and the owner and host, Tam, is exceptionally friendly and down to earth. Tam goes above and beyond to ensure that every customer leaves happy.
This restaurant also caters to small events such as corporate parties, weddings, and birthdays. There's a large screen and a microphone for karaoke, which occurs after hours, around 8:00 PM. Tam even allows customers to enjoy karaoke nights, making it a perfect spot for good, clean fun and gatherings with friends.
The food is absolutely amazing and delicious. This place truly has something for everyone, especially for the younger generation looking for a great time. I highly recommend checking out this restaurant.
I want to let you know that this is not the previous establishment with bad reviews. This is a brand-new restaurant, and it is a must-try! I'm already looking forward to my next meal there.
Note: Atmosphere, Food, and Service is a 5...
Read moreDVR is a gem to the pennsauken area and glad itâs only a few min drive across the bridge from philly. Came here on a Saturday afternoon with family for lunch and was immediately greeted by the owner who was so sweet & accommodating! The restaurant is luxurious with large lounge style seating that seems great for family-style dinners. Thereâs a huge tv screen and stage at the back of the restaurant. I was told that this space is also an event venue that hosts wedding receptions and birthdays. They even have a nightly open karaoke at 8p, so fun! Most importantly the food was delicious and flavorful, I recommend their sizzling platter that comes with a side of banh mi. Iâm excited to see they had traditional street foods complimentary with drinking such as escargot in coconut milk. This is something you usually donât see at other viet restaurants and DVR brings me back to Vietnam with its friendly communal dining and...
