In a world post COVID where customer service is dead and the big box stores are out to test your guessing skill and nervous system, Richard Super and his exceptionally professional team at ABC Discount Appliance are steady with exemplary high standards of service, product knowledge and I will repeat service and value, above all value. Most recently my wife and I set out to spend a very frustrating Sunday afternoon to shop for a propane BBQ grill. Sofia had her heart set on a Weber grill, I as usual was being frugal and we started out at Orange Big Box in Cherry Hill to look and compare hoping to make a purchase in time for Memorial Day. Zero help on the floor, no associate in sight and dismal selection of very limited floor inventory. Off to the blue one we drove where the selection and displays on the floor where ample but again no service associate, one gentleman who was lurking around hiding we approached. He aknowledge he was assigned to the area but had no knowledge of the products as he was a new employee. Off to the one where you need a passport sevearl picture ids and a membership to find the same nonservice frustration and chaos. On Monday morning I called Richard Super at ABC who to me was the encyclopedia of his products. Encyclopedia that is what we had before God created Gooogle, and in less than ten minutes Richard convinced me the Weber grill was the the right purchase and his price was fair. He offered free assembly and delivery and on Wednesday morning bright and early two professional most accommodating delivery experts showed up with our purchase with smiles and humor to deliver and place our grill on our patio. What a refreshing experience. Please go to this heaven of an appliance store. We must support these businesses if we want to keep our sanity and Values alive.    Read moreAbsolute NIGHTMARE! We purchased all new Kitchenaid appliances in April of 2021. We wanted to wait until our kitchen renovation was further along but were advised to order ASAP due to supply chain shortages. The appliances were delivered in July of 2021 but not installed until September 2021, when the renovation was complete. Our 1st service call was April 2022 when we noticed the refrigerator shelving and drawers were not level. Upon inspection we found the inner walls of the refrigerator were cracked. ABC sent out a company called Platinum Appliance. The service technician said the refrigerator may have been dropped. After several phone calls, and waiting almost a month, we paid a vist to the ABC showroom. We were told Platinum Appliance never filed paperwork on our refrigerator and ABC was going to send out Edward's Appliance Service to follow up. When the Edward's technician arrived in May 2022 he said felt it might be a manufacturing defect. He said he would notify ABC and Kitchenaid. After 3 more months we were notified that the cracked liner and shelves on our 7 month old refrigerator were cosmetic issues and the only thing they would do is glue the liner and not replace any shelving parts. Along the way we've also had a frozen refrigerator compartment evaporator and most recently a frozen freezer evaporator. We just replaced our three year old $2500 Kitchenaid refrigerator (owned by Whirlpool) with a new refrigerator from another retailer that does their own service.    Read moreA couple of weeks ago I purchased a kitchen appliance package for my new home. When the delivery crew was unboxing everything they mentioned to me there may be an issue with getting the refrigerator in the kitchen because of the size. After about 20 min of work there was a knock at my door and there was another person from ABC, he told me that he was here to assist the delivery men with the refrigerator. In no time these 3 men picked up the refrigerator and lifted it over my counter and cabinets into my kitchen, I was shocked. A few days later I revived a call from Rich, the owner, and he explained that every week he randomly calls customers to gauge their level of satisfaction with ABC and just checks to make sure that his customers are 100% satisfied. I explained how impressed I was on how his crew went above and beyond to get my refrigerator in my kitchen. He then told me that the 3rd guy was in fact him, I was floored once more. Not only was I getting a call from the owner to ask how my experience was but HE CAME OUT to help deliver.
