What is not to love. The food was great, had ordered the mayor, which was 2 chicken tacos, chips, and side, which I selected queso. They gave me a number and I sat at the corner between inside and outside. The screen door separating kept the cool breeze in while eliminating any bugs. Was served my food and went to town, only to realize I did not get a drink. A lovely server noticed and came by to offer a drink of water which was timely and just awesome. After receiving my drink, I was just enjoying the service and smiles provided by Taco Mama. It was about a quarter full and very family friendly. I was with myself today, but the sound of laughter and family conversation added to the charm of my experience here. Upon finishing, another server came by to ask if I was done and took my plate. Honestly, the service is hands down the best in both Navarre and Gulf Breeze. The food was great, and the atmosphere was pleasantly safe and calm. Would highly recommend to any nomad traveler and local visiting the area. Oh, and the queso...
Read moreTaco Mama had so much potential, but unfortunately, it fell short of my expectations. First off, the decor was fantastic — vibrant, cozy, and really set the right tone for a fun dining experience. I was excited to try it, but things quickly took a turn.
The cashier was incredibly rude, which set the wrong tone right away. It felt like we were an inconvenience. The food, while decent, was way too greasy for the price we paid. It lacked the freshness and flavor we were hoping for.
We arrived around 7 PM, well before the posted closing time of 9 PM, but it was clear the staff was more focused on wrapping up for the night than providing good service. The entire atmosphere felt rushed, and it didn’t help that a bunch of teenagers were running the place, leaving the service feeling unprofessional.
Lastly, the coupon they provided was incredibly misleading. Overall, Taco Mama has a lot of promise with its great vibe, but between the poor service, mediocre food, and misleading offers, I will...
Read moreA little surprised that the atmosphere was very teenager oriented. The food was nothing special and they gave you chips and salsa along with one side. The margarita was very strong with the liquor. The hippie fisherman burrito was so cold that we had to ask that they nuke it. The waitress came around to let us know that it was the cold ingredients that made it cold?? We ask that they at least warm up the burrito. There was nothing special about the guacamole that was also a side. The tacos were very bland and they tasted like tacos I made at home. The chips were good, but again, the salsa was very bland. The kids constantly walking around the patrons for any garbage or needs we needed the whole time, was really annoying and the one that asked if we were done, bumped into my husband and then later rushed to grab our trash off the table that he spilled salsa all over my purse. Will probably skip this place...
