Leaves 'n Beans Coffee — Restaurant in Peoria Heights

I met a friend at Leaves n Beans Coffee for the first time last weekend. It's really cute on the outside and looks like a house. Parking is best out front or on the side of the building. The back is reserved mostly for employees. You walk up the stairs and through the front door and you immediately walk into this cozy comfortable coffee shop! I loved the decor and all the different seating, tables, and decorations on the walls! I even loved the door with all of the handwritten flavors and coffees that they had available! There's so many different things that you can purchase here including your own bag of coffee that you can take home with you! It smells amazing in there! We both ordered a iced/ blended coffee, mine was cookies and cream, grabbed a cookie and found ourselves a table. We decided to sit at the table in the front of the building so we could look out the front window. There's definitely plenty of seating around inside and outside. I heard there is a couch with a bunch of different chairs downstairs and even a ton of books avaliable but I haven't got a chance to go down there yet. Next time I go I'll check it out! They called our names shortly after to come and get our coffees. When you grab your coffee there's this little nook in the bottom right corner where you can get your straw and any additional things that you would need for your drink. We went back and sat down and chatted for a bit. This is such a cute coffee house, felt like home! It's great place to meet up with a friend to catch up! I’m so upset to say that I got horrible customer service. The lady looked down the entire time I was picking a tip and I’m a server so I tip very well and especially in small businesses but she made me feel like I was obligated to tip the certain amount shown on the screen. She also was so rude when I said that I wanted something blended ( keep in mind it’s my first time coming in after a day of shopping) my normal coffee place makes anything blended even if it’s not supposed to be so I wasn’t sure if all places did that. I did ask nicely if she could make it blended, but instead gave me attitude and said all the blended stuff are on the screen and on the door to the right. And while ordering, she just kept looking at my friend and I after we said that we wanted to do one order.. on top of that I will say The service was pretty quick, but upon getting our drinks, we didn’t notice that a crack was on the side of the coffee drink. We got and spilled all over not only that, but we found a hair that was clearly not ours. I will say, don’t get the banana blended drink because it taste like rubbing alcohol… and to conclude the whole situation we were walking out and I said have a good day and she just blatantly rudely ignored me while look at me. I won’t be coming back unfortunately because I love coffee. $12 for two regular drinks which is reasonable but not for the service we got and...

I frequent Leaves N Beans at all three locations but I will not be returning to the Heights. This morning, I ordered two fall drinks and two cookies for my coworkers and I who have heard me give this company glowing reviews every time I go. A driver came with two drinks (one of them missing the whipped cream) and no cookies. I mentioned this to the driver immediately and she responded "well that's what they gave me" and left. My coworker tried her drink (pumpkin cheesecake latte with an extra shot of espresso and missing whipped cream) and it ONLY tasted like espresso. Absolutely no other flavor to be found. I called LnB and they said it was "their bad" for forgetting the cookies but I could either come back for them or it could be refunded. I reluctantly said I would pick the cookies up on my lunch break (a waste of my time and money for a mistake I didn't make). She also said the espresso "masked" the taste of the flavorings added. My coworker then called LnB because not only was there zero taste of flavoring but the whipped cream was not included. The manager told her to order Uber eats for a new drink and then HUNG UP ON HER after refusing to remedy this situation in a reasonable manner. This is incredibly disappointing and...
