Oliver's In the Heights — Restaurant in Peoria Heights

Not the greatest service. But we couldn’t tell if the place was understaffed, or just an inattentive server since there were many workers inside but only one waitress outside working.

We sat outside, able to pick our own seats. But was not greeted by our waitress until a good 20 minutes later. We ended up grabbing our own menus from another table since it took so long to be greeted. We were there for almost 2 hours all together. Our appetizer came out fine, it was yummy. We ended up grabbing our own paper towels from another table since she never came back for a while and didn’t offer any from the start nor did we have silverware.

I wish the menu had more clarification on what was in their food or what came on the food. We waited a long time for our food. It was well after our nacho supreme appetizer was finished.

Eventually, the waitress apologized for the wait saying another person took the sandwich I ordered to another table so they had to remake the sandwich I ordered. Which was frustrating, but I appreciated the communication.

Our food finally came and it was okay. Nothing too crazy in my opinion. We eventually got silverware from the person who brought our food out. He seemed surprised that we didn’t have that yet when we asked.

When the check came out the waitress took my sandwich off the check explaining that since it took so long for our main entree that we wouldn’t have to pay for it. I appreciated that she recognized that, and took it off. I never would have requested that, mistakes happen.

Overall it was alright, maybe if the server was a bit more attentive and there was live music going it would have been better for the overall atmosphere.

But again, couldn’t tell if they were understaffed or just inattentive. Would recommend if you’re wanting a place to hang with friends, but wouldn’t recommend for the food or the overall service as it wasn’t as good as it...

Went here because it had 4.3 star ls in reviews. I would give negative stars if possible. Ordered 2 appetizers, mojito ( little to no alcohol in it) and few beers. Two 12 inch pizzas and a cheese burger. It appears that pizzas are made from scratch this was not the case came out on cardboard and looked like typical cheap frozen pizza and the taste was just that as well. Cheese burger was so salty I could not eat it. Absolutely one of the worst places I have ever ate. Waitress brings out my bill $82. Told me I had plenary of opportunity to say something. Little rude. I expressed my displeasure of spending that type of money for poor quality food. She said she would get me the manager. I waited ten minutes just for her to say they didn’t have time to come and speak to me because she was actually in the back rolling dough and making sauce. Lol. Knocked a little off still way over priced $65. Won’t go back and would recommend the same of others. I normally either don’t post reviews or always positive ones with understanding that these are businesses that count on...

I'm sorry that I can't recommend Oliver's in the Heights. I went last week to pick up some carry out food that we had ordered. When I walked in, I saw that the young man behind the bar had no mask on. He was wearing a neck gaiter, but it was down around his neck. Even when I had to approach him to tell him our name, he left it around his neck. I walked to the back in order to use the restroom while I waited for our food, and I passed three tables of people, none of whom had masks on. They were not eating or drinking. Their tables were spotless, and they were talking together with no masks on. I didn't even see a mask near any of them. If you have anyone in your household or life circle who is even remotely close to being in a vulnerable category, do not go here. As for the food, we had two pizzas - a veggie and a Hawaiian. The crust is crispy, and the pizza is not greasy at all. However, we could see or taste none of the veggies. It looked and tasted simply like a plain pizza. I can not recommend Oliver's in the Heights and...
