STRONG 4.5

To start, they have authentic horchata which is always a plus to an latino/hispanic/Mexican restaurant. Our server was Connie. She knew the menu well and gave several recommendations! I was happy they had salsa verde as well as regular salsa. We also decided to try the Jamaican juice. It was not overly sweet like most juices and a refreshing change from sodas. The Jamaica juice was also helpful with his sensitivity to spiciness. The chip basket was not full, the chips were not warm, and the the salsa is a little runny, had no whole vegetables, but tasted very good.

We ordered the camarones imperial and the chile relleno con pollo. The guacamole was exquisite, full of rich flavor and hearty! It is actually the best I've had in the area! The bacon-wrapped shrimp was muy rico. The fruits and vegetables it came with were very fresh and a complimentary flavor with the shrimp. The stuffed chili was sabroso and had a lot of cheese! The chicken was not as good, but it was finely shredded and wasn't dry at all! The carne de vaca y frijoles tasted very fresh and authentic as well and was not over seasoned.

I would've rated the food overall a 3.6, but Connie good service and willingness to practice spanish with me made the overall place an easy 4.5! I love that it is a family-owned place, and not in a very busy place. You can enjoy the good food and relax with the sound of the music, while being served...

We went for Monday lunch special..."Any burrito $7.99 Seafood burrito $1 extra".

We ordered 2 white sauce shrimp burritos. The price (obviously without taxes) should have been $8.99 per burrito. We were charged $9.35 PLUS $.99 cents for the white sauce!

Without the special of the day price this burrito should have been $9.35 NOT MORE NOT LESS. .99 cents extra for something that is CLEARLY stablished on the dish???? "shrimp burritos cooked in our special WHITE SAUCE $9.35"

The waiter told us that if the client says "white sauce" you immediately are charged with $.99 extra. I mean, you are punished for just repeating what's in the description of your dish selection.

It's not the couple of dollars they try to charge you for something is included in your dish. It's not that they made you think you can order as Monday specials "any burrito" but later they put limitations. It's just a matter of being honest and having integrity.

I was reading some comments and notice that some other people have complaints about being overcharged. This is just wrong to so many levels. We will not comeback and, of course, we do not recommend...

Anymore it's hard to want to go out, everywhere we have gone is trash anymore past several times, but really glad we swung by here tonight.

Living in the area for 20 years, I have only been here once before, and only for lunch during the daytime while working close for the city. Absolutely stellar food, stellar drinks, and stellar service, all something we really cannot and do not get anymore.

Stopping by Carolina's recently, it was garbage, mariscos over on 75th and cactus was garbage, and really hard to find anything better than Federico's these days. This might be the new spot though, everything is super affordable, even Federico's is more expensive for a burrito, and no comparison for what you get vs. Don Lencho's. Their margaritas are stellar too, all regular drinks are less than 5 bucks!

Congrats local business, I'm glad you guys are still here and keeping it real, and real tasty. We are already...

Just moved into the area and trying new places. DON LENCHOS DID NOT DISAPPOINT!! From the time we walked in everyone greeted us. We were seated quickly. Drink order was taken. We got small margaritas to start. One was the prickly pear and the other jalapeño. They were delicious!! Appetizer, we ordered the ceviche toastada. It was loaded with fish!! Was fresh tasting! Meals I got the shrimp Enchilada plate and hubby got the fajitas. We ended up ordering another road of drinks but larges this time. 🤣 The owners were there eating next to us. Connie was our server she is amazing!! She's been there 13years. She was very friendly and funny. We will definitely be back! Thank you all so much!

Stopped by to eat with the familia, and we all left very satisfied with the meals we ordered. I don't believe there are a lot of restaurants to choose from in this area. I ordered the shrimp enchiladas rice and beans, and it was so yummy. My son ordered the carne asada chimichanga enchilada style (red sauce), and my husband got a plate with Chile relleno, beef enchilada, and Carne asada with rice and beans. I took one for the team and tasted everyone's plate to make sure I gave you a true review 😉. It was all delicious and the service was great 👍. I highly recommend it. *just fyi I didn't eat the beans, not a fan of restaurant beans, but my boys gave me two thumbs up*
