El Taco Loco — Restaurant in Peoria

We searched for months for a good, authentic Mexican restaurant in the area. A lot of them cater to people who like "american-style Mexican food" , which isn't what we want. When we saw El Taco Loco offers both "American style" and "Mexican style" options for their food, we were elated. After the first time we were hooked.

We've been back several times and had the tacos, the flautas, rice, beans, flaming hot corn, enchiladas, tamale, birria ramen, and so much more on their menu, all "Mexican style" and we love it all, can't get enough! Their meat is always juicy and tender, seasoned just right. Their sauces are the right amount of heat to add to any dish. Their sides are always fresh and delicious.

I love this place so much I decided to have them cater my birthday party! I wanted 30 tacos for my 30th birthday, half steak, half chicken, with a side pan of flaming hot elote with Cheetos on the side.... It was more than a hit!! Everyone kept raving about how delicious the food was, and how theyll have to get more food from there when they visit town again. This food surely made the party, I highly recommend El Taco Loco for catering or just lunch or dinner with the family! Their prices are reasonable for the quality of food you receive.

BURRITOS ARE WAY SMALLER THAN MOST PLACES. TACOS ARE PERFECT! Sauces are delicious!

However, I often have problems with my specific orders. On their side, I do order very specific things, and sometimes, during peak hours. The owner is Exceptional! He always makes the appropriate corrections for customer satisfaction! BUT: It is very difficult to sit down to dinner with the family after paying a large amount of money and find out that our order is incorrect! Just to have to package the food back up, get in our vehicle, and drive the 15m back to get our order corrected. By the time I drive back 15m to get home to return with the correct food everyone has either; Eaten already. The food is ice cold from waiting to eat together. My corrected order is cold from the wait.

Atmosphere: The Christmas garland was hanging from one corner of the TV to the other and swooping across the entire screen. I said something to the girl straightening up, and she just looked at the tv, then back at me,...

Decided to try the food out since ratings were good so I went in there with high expectations. First The food has no flavor. I ordered 2 grilled cheese, 4 tacos, and a side of rice and beans. It was more than $50 and I don’t mind paying it, but the food was really bad. The rice wasn’t well cooked, had very little flavor & it was hard. The birria grilled cheese tasted sweet like a syrup or cinnamon taste that definitely didnt help at all. The tacos had no flavor as well. I asked for extra sauce they charged me for it and they didn’t even put it in the bag until I asked about them when I got there. They made sure they charged me extra but didn’t make sure the sauces were in there. When I was on the phone they were rude and hung up before I could even finish talking. When I went to go pick up my food, one of the girls there had an attitude. We all pay to have good food as promoted and good service as well, I don’t recommend this...
