I was looking for a little adventure on this cold and rainy night, and I didn't find it here.

It has your standard small industrial brewery vibe atmosphere, and nothing really stands out. I was seated at the bar and the classic rock music was way too loud for the room, it was giving me a headache. Had someone been with me, I doubt we would have been able to hold a conversation, so here was no way I was going to stick around when it was just me.

The menu is upscale bar fare, a bit pricey, but looked very good, and there was enough variation that everyone should be able to find something. I settled on the Brisket Mac and Cheese, as I wasn't feeling any of the sandwiches, burgers or salads calling to me, and one of their house brews, a peanut butter ale.

Let me tell you, the dish looked and smelled amazing when the bartender brought it out to me. It was all cheesy, gooey, melty goodness in a little cast iron skillet. That first bite was incredible, all the cheese, the slight tang of jalapeno, the salty ham chunks, and the al dente shell macaroni were a perfect mouthful. The second bite I made sure to get a chunk of brisket, expecting a melt in your mouth bite of smokey happiness, and what I got was a rubber ball. Yep, it was a nice chunk of gristle with a tiny shred of meat on it. Had it just been one, I could have been forgiving, it happens, but it wasn't. It's sad when the meat star of Brisket Mac and Cheese is the ham used for added salty flavor. I think there was one or two viable bites of brisket in the whole serving, the rest had something rubbery attached. Had there been no brisket, or something other than the leftover scrapings off the cutting board, it would have been fantastic. For the $14 they charge for it, I expected way better

I would love to say something about the interesting sounding peanut butter beer, but I never got it, even after making a comment to the bartender when she brought out my food. I guess she was more interested in chatting up her friends/regulars a bit down the bar from me, or gossiping with the servers while taking care of her regular tasks, than bothering with a lone customer at her counter.

At this point I'm disappointed and doubt I'll be going back. The food was questionable, the service mediocre and the atmosphere annoying. I normally give a place a second chance, but this time I'm going to pass with way to...

(2023-10-21) 4 Months after the situation, decided to take another opportunity to see if things had changed even with no one reaching out from the establishment regarding the situation. Lady who caused the situation previously recognized me when we entered and treated myself and the people I came with very well, guessing my feedback made it back to her. She only worked there for two more months and haven’t seen her since. Have become a regular again and the people/service has been good. Willing to up my rating to 3 stars and will assess and update my review as time goes on regardless of service. I enjoy their food, I wish I could drink their beer because it is good but have allergies that some of their beers trigger 😢 (it’s not just their beers that trigger my allergies). Decent bourbon selection which I enjoy.

(2022-08-20) Was a weekly/bi-weekly regular for 3 years along with the 6 others in my group until 2022-08-20. Berated by staff member for seating ourselves like we had done numerous times and had been invited to do by staff on previous visits. Literally seated on the patio and lady approached us and started raising voice at us, recognizing we were regulars as we stood silently while she arranged the tables lecturing us and everyone on the patio staring at the situation. Half way through her lecture 4 of the 7 of us left silently due to the treatment. After she was done we sat down looked at each other and got up and left due to the level of inappropriateness we just saw. On our way out the same lady saw us in the main hallway and said ā€œHave a good night, don’t come backā€ which I replied ā€œReallyā€ā€¦ the only thing any of us said to her through the whole ordeal. We proceeded to walk out. We reached out to the owner with no response. Not sure what to say but currently honoring the wishes uttered to us on the way out along with a majority of the member group near by Industry. Also talked to a bar run by my brother and he passed on buying a keg for the bar he runs in the state until this situation is resolved. Will update review if establishment wants to resolve.

Pre 2022-08-20: Great beer, awesome food! Big fan of the "no call no show" and...

Does Industry set the industry standard?

I’ve been to Industry quite a few times but it was either for work lunches or various events so I’ve never been able to try their alcoholic choices until now. Emily and I were out and about and decided we needed a beer and some chill time after walking around Grand Prairie Mall all afternoon.

We dropped in on a quiet Saturday afternoon and were greeted by some friendly staff. Emily and I grabbed a seat next to an open window so we could enjoy the breeze and somewhat warm temps. Emily grabbed a Pineapple Pleaser and I grabbed a Happy Hour kolsch beer. A few sips into my beer, I knew I didn’t like it one bit. I’ve had some kolsch beers before and this one just wasn’t doing it for me. Emily liked her sour and it was funny seeing the faces she made until she got used to it. After having a few sips of her drink, I get why cause it was indeed sour to the max. I did get a sample of their hefenweizen and somehow I straight up didn’t like it one bit, which is weird since that’s one of my go-to drinks at breweries. Nothing else looked appetizing on the beer list so I stuck with finishing off the Happy Hour and the sample of the hefenweizen.

Aside from the beer, the food here is great. We didn’t eat since we were still full from Weaver’s but every time I’ve been here for a work lunch or event, the food has knocked it out of the park every single time. On top of having delicious food, they have a really nice outdoor area with axe throwing and a spot for your dogs to do their business.

We did eye the merch on our way in and ended up snagging some stuff on the way our. Emily got a hoodie and I snagged a shirt. Maybe you’ll see it pop up in a future review! They also have some free stickers if you are into that kind of thing. I know I snagged two for myself. šŸ˜›

I really want to love Industry Brewing and do like everything about the place outside of their beer offerings. Maybe I’ll go back in the future and see if the menu changed and they had something that my...
