Had a very interesting experience here this evening, as someone who has worked in the industry for a long time I am extremely understanding when I receive poor service or unsatisfactory food. But after my "lovely" interaction I had with the bartender/ I'm assuming owner I decided a review was necessary. Waited a really long time for our waitress to check us out but again that's ok she was busy and clearly had a big section. Was waiting near the server station for her patiently and the bartender told us he could cash us out.. cool, then he asks how was everything and I said, "it was just ok" with no ill tone and he instantly decides to get in a pissing match with me because he asked me to elaborate and I said no offense but the food was bland. But here's the thing it was more than bland. That was the worst "greek" food I've ever had in my life. Everything was dry, flavorless, and unexciting overall. The bartender then proceeds to ask me what exactly was bland and I said the hummus to which he felt the need to tell me oh really because people tell him he has the best hummus in town. Which is the biggest joke I've ever heard being that I'm lebanese and quite literally they took canned chickpeas and blended them with tap water and passed it off as hummus. Thanks for the laughs, I will be sure to pass along my experience to anyone considering eating here and tell them they will have a better meal at...
Read moreI ordered a Gyro meal, when food finally came I took my first bite and something sharp stabbed my gum causing it to bleed . I took out a plastic piece that looked like end of a fork that had broken off. I had to go find the waitress and tell her what happened. She came back and told me manager told her it was end of a piece of a stick kebab that had broken off into my gyro. And that manager told her he’ll have a new one for me. So I said ok. So I place the current gyro to side and wrapped it up in a napkin and just ate my fries . 15mins later waitress came back and said oh must’ve been miscommunication manager isn’t going to replace your Gyro. He took the meal off your bill. I told her I don’t mind paying for the meal I wanted new sandwich because I toss this to side and it’s cold and soggy now because based off what you told me 15mins ago she apologized and walks away. I didn’t get upset because it was my daughter’s bday. So I didn’t have a gyro to eat. I did tip her and left a note that it was bad service on her manager and that management should’ve came over to apologize for me being injured and I left it as that. Bad service and bad first time experience on the management and cook. I checked my account this morning and Waitress didn’t receive the tip I left. not sure if she knew I gave her tip and management didn’t give it to her . Which...
Read moreWe went to Olympia for lunch and I had a pretty good experience.
We had quite a few appetizers - Greek Isles Sampler, Greek Nachos, and the Saganaki. For the entree, I had the Loaded Gyro Fries. I enjoyed the food. It wasn't the best Mediterranean in the area, but they go for more of an Americanized version of Mediterranean food. The Isles Sampler was my favorite, just because of the variety of food they bring out. The Spanikopita Egg Rolls were probably my favorite to sample. The Nachos and Saganaki were mediocre. But, the Loaded Group fries were decent. The fries were good, but there are cold cut tomatoes, cumcumbers, and cold tzatziki sauce over it, so it quickly grows cold and stale. There is also cubed gyro meat sprinkled on top, but that was incredibly salty.
I liked the service and the ambience. We dined very soon after opening, so the area was mostly empty and not loud. Our server was patient and attentive.
Would recommend for a...
