I was feeling nostalgic today and missing Japan, so I decided to go back in time and revisit some fond memories by eating a hotel of Japanese Ramen style noodles. I ordered Spicy Miso Ramen and Chicken Karaaga and enjoyed the food very much. When they deliver the ramen soup, the broth is separated from the noodle ingredients. You add them yourself at your own discretion. Nice touch. The Spicy Miso Ramen was tasty and spicy. The Chicken Karaaga was good, albeit not my favorite. I was under the impression that it would be a little tangy or sweet. That is no fault of the restaurant, as I should have read the details better. Absolutely disgusting. I ordered the tempura sushi and was appalled. It was completely soggy, drenched in so much sauce it was falling apart, and worst of all, it was missing the shrimp. How do you forget the shrimp in shrimp tempura? The spring rolls weren’t any better, greasy, soggy, and clearly not fresh. Chicken egg roll was ice cold. This was one of the worst takeout experiences I’ve had. No wonder this place barely scrapes by with 3 stars. With food quality this low, it’s honestly a health concern. Totally unacceptable. Absolutely disgusting. People are very nice and friendly but I felt sick instantly when eating here. Spent $33 on sushi and a chicken bowl and everything tasted old and expired. Rancid. Just not fresh at all. My daughter (5) loves sushi so she got a tuna roll and a salmon roll and I had to ask her to stop eating because I tasted a piece and had to spit it out. She was so upset.
