Have to say the food is good, my rating is regarding the young girl who is running the front counter many times and how rude she is. If you come in later, she tells you you have to sit outside and eat if it hits 9pm. She isn't friendly about it. We got there at 825pm, plenty of time or so we thought, but food delivery services had orders that had to be filled that we didn't know and a party of 5 came in before us that still needed food. Only 1 person making all the orders, so weird when 4 people on shift. Anyways by the time we got our order, it was 10 minutes til closing and of course we wernt the only ones in the building and Gracie started talking very loudly to get co workers, I told everyone they had to leave by 9, I don't care, I am kicking them out, I have stuff to do, they were all warned. No other worker was saying anything, just letting her go on and on about how she is kicking everyone out, everyone had been warned, she was making a scene on purpose, she wanted us all to hear her, yet everyone let her continue her rant. We ended up taking our food and eating the rest in our car in the parking lot. I did call the General Manager a few days later and he told me he knew exactly who I was talking about and that he has had to talk to her about her attitude before and that that night was her last night working because she didn't want to work there anymore, problem solved or so we thought. Until we went in again and guess who was working the front counter, yup. GRACIE! so the GM lied....not good! I didn't say a thing this time. Went in again and Gracie was not working but I talked to one of the girls who seems to work with her and asked her why Gracie acts like that and why did the rest of the staff act scared of her, she said nobody is scared of her, but that that is the way she acts all the time and they ignore her. SAY WHAT? So what they allow will continue and Gracie needs to understand that she works for this establishment. She doesn't call the shots and shouldn't be making scenes and telling people when they need to leave. She is in the wrong field for sure! She has zero customer service skills. Entitlement at its best right there but again, what's allowed, will...
Read moreWe went to Rubio's after receiving an email regarding new chicken and steak options for taco Tuesday. We had high hopes when ordering Chicken Tacos, Mexican Rice, Cilantro Lime Rice and chips for the Salsa Bar. We became extremely disappointed when delivered to our table was pitiful looking cold tacos with only a few tiny pieces of chicken and tons of lettuce and the tiniest containers of rice. I had to go to the counter for our nacho chips that were not on the tray and exchange the cilantro rice (which was bland like white rice) for another Mexican rice (which was delicious). For $2 we received a tiny bag (the size of the palm of my hand) of mostly broken (approximately 7 pieces of nacho chips with only 1 full chip). This was very unfortunate because the best part of this restaurant was the fresh salsa bar. The manager was very nice, walking around the restaurant asking how we liked the food and he tried to make everything better by offering us a taco with more chicken that was not cold, however it was beyond fixing at that point and we just left. We were hoping to support a neighborhood restaurant, however we well not return as we left hungry and went to Filibertos for a taco filled with chicken, instead of only a few pieces, for...
Read moreAmazing food. All I’ve ever gotten was a bean and cheese burrito but it’s killer every time! It also comes with chips when the salsa is dang good. Rubios is now a coastal grill as well and I’ve hear really good things about their sea food. Rubios also has Vanilla Coke which brings me here on its own it is amazing. They also have crushed ice... clutch! The line is usually short for how busy the restaurant is and your food always comes out really fast. It’s like a form of nice fast food. You sit down but don’t have a waiter/waitress. You order at the counter then pick your seat. They just give you a number and bring you your food. The restaurant is pretty big and has enough seats to fit quite a few people. The chairs aren’t comfy but that’s not the style they’re going for. Each meal has a calorie count which some people love (makes me not want to eat some things when they’re 700 calories). They have a salsa and sauce bar so you can get as much as you want which is fantastic because you don’t have to ask. They have fountain drinks as well as glass bottles of soda. I would recommend this...
