Branzino piccata- my own creation Sea Bass, angel hair with butter sauce, mixed grilled veggies (broccoliini, zucchini, red bell peppers, asparagus), side of piccata sauce. $22.50 (charged $1.75 for the piccata sauce, even though I didn't get the sauce it came with) Mix of: European Sea Bass $21.75 Pan fried parmesan crusted branzino seasoned with rosemary garlic, lemon and a touch of compound butter. Served with garlic angel hair pasta and grilled vegetables. And: Chicken Picatta $20.25 Pan seared natural chicken breast finished with white wine lemon butter and capers. Served with sautéed broccoli and angel hair pasta. Very good. I've never had sea bass and I really enjoyed it. The piccata sauce was good. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I liked the grilled veggies, probably the best part. Lemon drop martini, had to seek out workers to get this about 10 minutes after I ordered it. I was then asked if I actually still wanted it⦠once I got it it was yummy Free Bread, fresh, very good Butter, foil wrapped pats that you get in a cafeteria Balsamic and olive oil- no complaints Penne Pepperonata Bake $15.75 Penne pasta mixed with ANGUS BEEF meat sauce, green peppers and onions. Topped with melted mozzarella and Sweet Italian Sausage. Meat sauce tasted fresh, good amount of melted cheese, good onions, very few bell peppers, pasta was a nice size and cooked nicely, didn't care for the contrast of the Angus meat sauce with sweet sausage on top, but the sausage in itself was good
Service: We were not offered an appetizer, not offered a salad, no offer of dessert, were not asked if we liked our food or followed up on. No coke refill, Forgot my martini, Forgot the butter Scout was MIA most of the time And Seemed either overwhelmed, it was not busy, or just like she was hating life. Not staffed for the two tables on the patio, during perfect weather! Other staff was nice and did what was asked when we sought them out, but totally not proactive or helpful to each other in anyway, but then sat at the bar for their own meal and were unavailable. Seemed like a lot of people not doing much work or helping each other at all. The food is great. Service is sub par.

Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy family had been eating at Twisted Italian since it opened. Had being the key word. After last night I will never again patronize them. When they first opened, my wife and I went in and were really happy with the food. It was much better than anything commercially available (Olive Garden, Bucca Di Beppo, etc...). The service used to be good as well. A couple months ago my dad was in town and I decided to take him to Twisted for a nice change of pace. The food was decent (definitely not as good as it used to be (like they've resorted to using frozen/canned ingredients, etc... or something, compared to their fresher flavors I remember) . The service was lackluster, but not terrible. All and all, my dad and I had some deep conversations while we were there so it was not really a focal point aside from me noticing how long it took to get our bill at the end. That being said, my 1-star review was not from that experience. It was from my experience last night.
My wife and I had an appointment that ended at 6 and we wanted something to eat. We discussed where to go and she said "Where can we go that has good food and we haven't been to in a while?" Twisted Italian popped into my mind and she thought it sounded good as well so we headed over despite it not being the closest option. We arrived and found a parking spot right out front (score, right? no. it was the best part of the experience.)
We walked in and I noticed there was only one other occupied table... not a great sign for 620-630 at night, right? No big deal, its in a part of town still in the struggles of a growth phase. We were seated and I excused myself to the restroom. Upon my return to the table, I was pleasantly surprised to find an iced tea and water already delivered per my wifes request. That was the last service we received. While we looked over the menu, there was no approach to ask if we had questions, etc... We decided on our selection and put the menus on the opposite side of the table from us to indicate we were ready to order.
Over the next 10 minutes three other tables were seated. The whole time, we were ignored (which was really odd since our table was smack dab in the middle of the restaurant). As the time passed and the owner (who we've met and talked with on previous visits) proceeded to walk around to a couple of the table small-talking with the people and bringing them bread and appetizers... yeah, they actually got appetizers delivered while we had yet to even receive bread or attention.... I was getting more and more frustrated as time passed and eventually told my wife I wanted to leave. She asked if we could at least pay for the iced tea (always the honorable woman, God bless her) so I threw a $5 bill on the table and stood up to leave. Literately as I reached the door the owner had the call to yell out "Have a nice night!" I bit my tongue as there was a young kid sitting at one of the tables, but the response I was tempted to give was less than appropriate. Instead, we left and went to Bucca Di Bepo. While not the greatest food (not horrible or anything, just not as amazing), the customer service was top notch. Which is more than I could even begin to say about our experience at Twisted Italian. Needless to say, we will not...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMotherās Day visit. We arrived early 4pm, seated right away, only a few tables open. Wait staff was at table within a minute or two. Ordered lemon drop martini and daughter had some kind of margarita. Received the bread plates with a herb sprinkle. Added oil and vinegar, few minutes later, received the bread. Few minutes later, (6-8) we placed our order. Garlic shrimp plate, traditional lasagna & meaty pizza. 2 Caesar side salads. Waitress check on us often. Service was good! Food review, in my opinion. Starters- -Bread - in my opinion, not the kind you want to dip. Not dense enough to soak the oil. It was a hard crusted bread, but very soft airy middle. -Herb mix- I donāt know of it was a very cheap olive oil or what, but even with the herbs, there was no real flavor. I love the taste of VOO. But this oil has nothing and the herb flavor was non-existent. -Martini- I normally have 2 drinks. I couldnāt even finish the one that I had. No real lemon flavor. And not even the slightest buzz from this drink, and I went in on an empty stomach. -Salad- dressing was not like any other Caesar dressing Iāve ever had. Takes like Caesar dressing watered down with ranch dressing. There was no kick to it. A ton of cheese, but, again, didnāt eat all of that either. Main dish- I ordered the pizza -Meaty Pizza- Ok, I love a pizza. But not this one. I had 2 small corners. Not impressed with the crust. It tastes like cardboard. The toppings were great, but the crust was not. I shared with my daughter. She just packed it away with her remaining Lasagna. -Garlic shrimp&scallops daughter had this, she said it was ok, but wasnāt interested in taking her leftovers home. -Not sure what the margaritas tastes like, but she normally also has 2 drinks & didnāt order a second.
There were tons of takeout orders being picked up, which is fantastic for them. Iām this area there is not much to choose from.
Over all, my first thought was, ā This is cool, Iāll have to bring my husband hereā. Needless to say, that was only a passing thought.
Wish you...
