I've purchased from this exact store a couple times but new staff needs some coaching on how to not chit chat when there is a long line and Doordash people waiting. There were 10 of us in line. I was 5 back. It took 30 min for me to get my order made. Then I was overcharged. The 2 young men working stayed calm, maybe a bit too calm. Turtle pace and did zero to try to apologize or make up for mistakes. Saw 2 sandwiches burn which they had to remake after the customer told them no way am I taking that home. Also a 3rd worker arrived with a mask on and the other worked said outloud twice "Are you sick?!!" It freaked all of us out in line. The sick guy didn't answer but disappeared to the back. The other two workers tried but at the speed of a rainy day and 1 customer. I was asked to repeat my 1 sandwich order 3 times then had to break it down for him ingredient by ingredient. He couldn't remember more than one ingredient at a time. So I would have to say salt then he would add salt. Pepper...add pepper. I had to do that for each sandwich and I had 3. It was a lot. The supervisor or owner should be there working if only 2 employees are viable. Or they should close the doors for the day so people don't wait like they did. The 3 people behind me ended up leaving because it took so long and I saw them deter another customer from coming in on their way out. The sandwiches were good quality as always but understaffed which I would assume is due to economy. I would still recommend this Subway at an off time and off day. I went at 4:30pm on a Friday. $49 for 3 footlong sub meals. Meatball, Tuna and new Cali Club. Never again. Pricey but the problem was more with the staff. I felt so bad for the doordash people who were lied to saying their pickups would be made in a "few minutes". No way that happened and I'm guessing they had to cancel the pickups. Well it's not the like hiring problem is going to get any better anytime soon. So bring something to entertain yourself and bring your patience. Gosh knows those workers are doing what they are capable of a don't deserve a lashing. It's just they need more training to do the basics and hopefully will find a job that their skills are...
Read moreThe worst customer service! We ordered three sandwiches and drinks through the Subway app to be delivered. However, the delivery person was not given the drinks and the bag was missing one of the bags of chips. I called the store located at N. 83rd Avenue and Thunderbird Rd. in Peoria, AZ but no one answered at 2:30 pm. After making several attempts, the phone was finally answered by Ashley. She said I could come and pick up the drinks which I declined indicating I had purchased the sandwiches and drinks to be delivered. She countered with the claim that Subway uses Door Dash to deliver and that it was the delivery person's error for not getting the drinks from the case. I replied that it doesn't matter who Subway contracts with to make the delivery, that Subway is responsible for the error and asked to speak with the manager. It should be noted that Door Dash also refused to assist in the matter after I contacted the driver and Customer Service. Ashley claimed the restaurant manager was not in and that she would have her call me within the hour. I never received a call and told Ashley that I wanted a refund issued which she has not done. I tried calling the restaurant again but the phone only rings with no answer. I guess I will need to dispute the charge with my bank. In addition to the above, the code that was advertised failed to work with the app and the sandwiches were not "buy two get the third for free" as indicated in the notification. We placed the order nonetheless which I completely regret and now believe the coupon code was a bait and switch fraud. I will never order from this Subway...
Read moreI took the time to scan over several pages of reviews, some not very great. As I am an owner in the service business, reviews are important, but one has to wonder if a poor review is ever substantiated. I understand any review is in the eyes of the beholder, so be it. The reason I am writing my 5-star review is due to my personal experience at this Subway location. I walked in and the place looked "spic & span" (for the older generation). I was greeted as I entered. The shift manager was explaining a procedure to an employee. BTW, I believe this is the first time I've actually seen any type of leadership person actively present at any Subway. I have two other Subway locations nearby. One will not honor coupons, so they won't get my business. The other seems to be having problems of some sort. Yesterday, I wanted a meatball sub; no meatballs, so I order the BMT, asked for Provolone cheese, guess what, no cheese. I went back to the same location today at noon assuming they had meatballs (my wife really wanted a meatball sub), guess what: closed?? I asked the store owner next door and he stated they never opened that morning. I am pleased find my new Subway location and will just go...
