I was really disappointed with this particular Wendy's. The service is usually stellar and the employees are always happy and seem to be pleased to serve you. This trip however, was anything but pleasant. The drive-through attendant didn't even complete taking my order and just stop talking to me. The screen flipped over to go ahead and pay for your meal soon as I pulled up to the window to pay no one was there. she was in another part of the store doing something and eventually slowly came back to the window. When I pulled forward to get my meal, they attempted to give me the wrong order. The gentleman working at the pickup window seem to be running around trying to do everything. I showed him my receipt and it took him a few moments but he prepared my mail and brought it to the car window. as I pulled away I grabbed a few fries out of the bag and they were stale so I drove around parked the car check my bag of food back inside. The woman behind the counter crossed her arms at the side of me coming in with a bag and approached the counter and raised her eyebrows as if to say "what"? I told her that my fries were stale and asked if I could have some fresh ones. She never said a word, turned her back on me and walked away. She spoke to another employee who snatched a bag of fries out of the freezer and dumped them into the fryer. I was watching the scene unfold and I noticed how filthy the floor was. if I had went in instead of using the drive-thru I would have turned around and left right there on the spot. There were three employees doing absolutely nothing. The only one actively working was the gentleman at the drive-thru who is running around like crazy trying to get everybody's orders out. I've worked in the restaurant business and I know food on the floor is an absolute No-No. It wasn't just a couple of fries, the floor in front of the friar and the counter to the left of it was absolutely covered with food debris. It was filthy beyond filthy. As no one seemed concerned as to the customer waiting at the counter, I just grabbed my bag and turned around and left. There was no way I was going to stay in that store anymore and be treated with such indifference. I may go back to that particular Wendy's again, however it will only be during the day when I know there's an active participating manager on duty. There was no other customers in the store whatsoever. There was no excuse for the floor in that restaurant to be that filthy. How sad. It was my favorite Wendy's in...
Read moreMy friend really hyped up Wendy's breakfast, so I decided to try it this morning. Went through drive thru at Wendy's on Big Hollow Rd. in Peoria, IL. It's early so no one else was in the drive thru at the time. S8nce it was my first time having breakfast I was reading all of my options. A staff person came on, not to greet me but to tell me to make my order. I said it was my first time here for breakfast so I was looking at what you had. I asked for the Honey Chicken Biscuit. The woman in drive thru enter the entire meal. I let her know I only wanted the sandwich, then you could hear something but could make out what was being said. You could then hear laughter erupted in the background. She changed the order on the screen, told me my price and said 2nd window. Waited behind another vehicle. Once I pulled up all the woman at the window said was my price, no greeting. She handed me my food and I handed her my card. She opened the window again and handed me my card and closed the window. She gave me no receipt or said anything else. I went to knock on the window and another young lady said me. She opened the window with a smile. I asked for my receipt. She said it was in the bag. I told her it wasn't, as the other woman had already given me my order prior to the payment. She went to get my receipt, with a smile and gave it to me. She told me to have a nice day. The initial staff person didn't even smile once while I was I the drive thru. A service experience can determine if you return to a restaurant or if you even recommend it to someone else. I read some of the reviews prior to making my own and unfortunately those were much worse then mine. I've had other poor experiences there but today I decided to respond. And then people wonder why #Chick-fil-A have so many customers, besides the fact that there food tastes better. Customer...
Read moreIf I had to give an award for most incompetent this place would win in a landslide victory against every other fast food place in the area.
Food: Aside from my order being incorrect, I was almost terrified to take a bite out of this food from the blatant disregard for food safety and sanitization of this establishment. Employees with hands looking like they just tried to manhandle razor wire and a lack of gloves when handling food was nothing short of disgusting. No ice for beverages at the drive through and hands being put on nearly every surface possible before handing me my meal. The burger itself was not terrible, but my appetite was significantly reduced after witnessing the blatant disregard for food safety.
Service: I won't even give this place the privilege of having the word service associated with it. I felt rushed out the door due to the chaotic and poor organizational skills of the leadership. This caused corners to be cut and harbored an overall attitude of treating me like a ghost to be considered acceptable by these employees. My meal was practically thrown into my hands so that they could get to the next order.
Atmosphere: The toxicity of this work environment is practically seething out from behind the counter and out the drive through windows. The management here is nothing short of disappointing and hostile. To employee and customer alike I may add. The entire shift leading management team needs to be replaced. I wouldn't be caught dead with a team like this.
This place needs a near full replacement of employees from the top down. I will never suggest this place to anyone so long as this remains the standard of "quality" at this...
