Unusually LOUSY service 6-3! Food was as always, excellent!! Asked for senior menu, got it and ordered from it. When the bill came it had regular menu price, not senior price. When brought to the server's (Cassie) attention, she in a snippy way said "you didn't say you were ordering from the senior menu", but did change the price. Why would I ask her for a senior menu if I didn't want to order from it? I even said to her I liked ordering from it. Cassie took a request she didn't care for from another man and then scowled as she walked away. The senior menu has free dessert and were NOT asked by Cassie what we wanted. She completely ignored us and we had to ask another girl for our dessert. When she came back out with it she had forgotten where it went until she and another server with her were signaled to our table. I was so disappointed I'm not sure I want to go back. We used to eat there regularly and have always had good service and GREAT food. If I owned the place Cassie would be looking for another job. None of us, including the man with a special request, were nasty, angry, snooty, etc. with Cassie. We were all very pleasant. If you go there, do whatever you can to avoid Cassie as your server, unless you want THE WORST possible service with a poor attitude towards customers, the wrong price on your bill and be totally ignored for dessert. IF they were busy this would be understandable, but they weren't at all. Cassie just has a poor attitude and NEEDS to learn what REAL customer service is. Cassie has to realize customers make her paycheck and usually leave nice tips for good service. She would have gotten a nice tip from me had her attitude and service been better, but, needless to say, she got none, as in NO tip, just exactly what she deserved! We even told of our experience to the cashier as the bill was being paid, when she asked how everything was, but that seemed to go right over her head. The place was dirty. Several tables we walked by hadn’t even been cleared. The cleaned booth had a lot of food crumbs in the seat. The chicken dumpling soup wasn’t even hot. The young girl who took our drink order (who I assumed was our waitress but turns out she wasn’t) wasn’t real friendly. When our “waitress” came to our table she exclaimed she had twisted her ankle that morning and let every table she took care of know that too. I even saw her put her foot up on a customers chair. She only took our food order and the young girl did the rest. No one ever checked on us or refilled our drinks. My husband ordered a fish sandwich. Nothing except the fried fish patty on the bun, and three pickle slices on the side. He said it was dry. She (the young girl) served his cottage cheese before his meal came out instead of with it. Idk if it was a one off or what but I wouldn’t go back. And I don’t want to hear about your ankle if it is just an excuse to not serve your table. Don’t complain to your tables it’s...

Overall, this was a clean local restaurant with good service and good food. We will be back.

My wife and I came in for breakfast. She had an eggs, meat, and hashbrown plate. I had the 3 pancakes with a meat. She enjoyed her meal and really liked the hashbrowns. My plate of pancakes was good, but nothing revolutionary. What I will take away from my breakfast is my plate of pancakes was big enough it almost beat me! That almost never happens. So, please know their plates are bigger than they appear at first glance in the pictures (use the coffee mugs for reference), and the pancakes filled the plate.
