New review: After my initial review, I have gone to this place 4 times in different times and wow they have improved overall! I really love my cajun shrimp pasta(ordered twice consecutive times) it was delicious with perfect amount of spice and my husband really love his crispy pork sandwich. Highly recommended it now and the service was amazing! Just a suggestion for the steak fries has been always soggy hope it will be crispier
My first review 2 star: This is a very upsetting experience for me as I was looking forward to eat here this week. The restaurant looks good and promising. We went here for a Saturday lunch. I liked the ambiance and the seating area. My fiancĂ© ordered pepper jack burger and he liked it. I ordered the salmon almondine, that comes with two sides. I chose hushpuppies and mashed potato. The expo served us our food, funnily enough the salmon had a butter sauce in the side even if it was lacking the mash potato. I let the expo know that my mash potatoes were missing. At first when i tried the hushpuppies I thought it looked really good but when I bit it, it was very mushy and undercooked. I let our server know, and when the expo brought out the new hushpuppies, 20 minutes after initially getting the meal, I asked about the mashed potatoes that still had not come. Turns out the kitchen was out, and never told us. My fiancĂ© had to ask for my one side be compd, so they just took his drink off. To be honest I wish just took a chance with the blue cheese burger, the salmon itself is ok (I donât even think they added a sauce on top) I liked the orleans fries my fiancĂ© had. I was wanting to get the revenge rebel cake but since I am really upset I didnât bother. Overall, I think there is a miscommunication with the wait staff and the kitchen because after 30 minutes of eating my half salmon with no sides, they told me that they donât have mashed potato. Just hoping that they would let someone know if they ran out of something cause its a waste of time to wait...
Read moreTonight was our third visit at New Orleans on Carroll st and it will be our last, unfortunately. Our first two visits were pretty good, really enjoyed our food then but our food tonight was a huge disappointment. Tonight I ordered my usual, Blue cheese burger. My wife ordered a chicken sandwich, and my son got kids chicken fingers and fries. The burger I usually get is juicy, good quality meat and loaded in blue cheese crumbles and is very delicious but tonight the burger was dry, half the amount of blue cheese crumbles and the burger had caramelized onions on it which tasted like as if they pulled the onions out of their French onion soup and put it on my burger. Seriously, the burger tasted like it was doused in French onion soup. Btw the burger was $18.99. My wifeâs chicken sandwhich was also dry, small, thin and had no seasoning on the chicken. For a chicken sandwhich that cost $17.00, it should be a huge piece of chicken . Her sandwich literally looked like a McDonaldâs Mcchicken Sandwich but 5 times the price. Finally, my sonâs meal (chicken fingers and fries), was beyond dry. The chicken was behind burt and was inedible. Iâm glad my three year old didnât eat the chicken because he would have choked on them since the chicken was so so dry. His kids meal was so bad that was asked the waitress if we can just get him new chicken fingers that arenât burnt. Soon after we got his non-Burt chicken fingers and by the time we got his dinner correct, we already ate our dinner so we just got his Togo. I hate when stuff like this happens because we want to eat out sometimes to really enjoy ourselves, focus on conversations and some what get catered to but tonight was just the opposite. I really hope the chef and the line cooks get the menu right and figure it out. Iâm a true believer that you get what you pay for so when Iâm paying $18.99 for a burger and I pay $17.00 for a chicken sandwhich it better be worth it (taste wise and...
Read moreMy review is on the more critical side but I promise you that itâs definitely worth a visit. Beautiful restaurant in such an unlikely place. I didnât except to to find such an interesting place. Will was prompt and polite. Service was excellent. I was not denied service for my casual outfit(though next time I would plan accordingly) and had multiple managers check on me as well as other guests. I definitely will be back next time I am in Georgia. First off the chicken was cooked perfectly. White and juicy on the inside and grilled on the outside. The way you want your grilled chicken to be cooked. It really annoys me when chicken is undercooked or over cooked and dry. It also didnât taste like a low quality of meat either. It was a good cut, well cooked and fresh. The dish was beautiful to look at and tasted good. For myself though, I would order it differently right off the bat knowing what I know now. The dish in and of itâs self was beautiful and tasty but it wasnât flavorful enough in my opinion. I would have also garnished it with Parmesan though that is a personal preference and used more Cajun spice. Will was able to quickly facilitate my wants and brought me more Cajun seasoning and Parmesan which swiftly brought the plate from a 4 to a 5. NowâŠI understand many people may not be like me. They may be more sensitive to spice. I think it would be wonderful if the dish came with just a bit of Cajun seasoning on the side or if the staff proposed this automatically as a question. This would allow the consumer to have a bit more of a customized dish or at the very least have the option to explore different levels of seasoning. Just a suggestion if your concerned about individuals being sensitive to spice. My drink was different and I really enjoyed it. More thoughts to come soon. Will update more specifically when I...
