Sonny's BBQ — Restaurant in Perry

Sonny BarBarque last Sunday father weekend! My 3 year old toddler and me dined in had the worse service ever after waiting for 45 minutes! Order (ALL U CAN EAT CHICKEN)! Chicken were very dry the white meat and dark meat and fries were cold. We had to wait another 34 minutes for fresh hot food for more dry chicken and more hot hard fries taste like potatoes chips! Me and toddler were hungry so we both ate more than enough to get full! I asked for a carry out plate and the manager had given me two full plate of hot fresh chicken white meat and dark meat and Fries! All u can eat chicken I had order! Wow! Since I am regular I had the real deal and I thank her for special treatment after all it were all a person can eat more and more chicken! 🍗 my toddler had to use the restroom and we were gone for a minute! I had asked the waitress earlier about my ticket and she said she would give it to me! When me and my toddler come out of restroom she had both of my to order plate ready with no ticket and told me to have a great father day weekend! I didn’t question cause when I look over to my table her and waitress already sat down other people in our booth seat when I were not finished! Saturday June 22, 2024 manager come up to my table after me and my toddler sat down and said that I didn’t pay for my food! I told her that you told me to have a great day Father weekend and she didn’t give me no ticket and then I left! She goes to talked to her manager and her manager told her to banned me after I done paid on this day for food last week what waitress didn’t give to me or she didn’t give to me rushing me and my toddler out of restaurant! The police were call out and police report were done! I paid for order of food last week for $23.50 when nobody didn’t bother to give me no ticket last week! I am more hurt and then upset had been going to eat to this restaurant for last 25 years of my life and now the manager of this company thrown me to black pit! Manager file criminal trespassing on me when there were no crime done on this property! Loyalty does not mean anything when a person is brown skin in a black race what others is treat more fair! I will not ever support this company again in my life in Perry, Ga when there nothing change other than character of person. Racism in this company for doing me wrong and ban me for no crime I done.Manager treated me like a theif stolen food when I always pay and said more than once have a great Father Day Weekend!!! On Sunday(No Ticket) to pay! Bother my integrity as man !Brown skin people cause brown shade to light and dark skin brown does not have no right to equal justice! Brown people cannot make no mistake and all time walked in straight line cause if we fall out of line with no perfect record we is automatic a criminal brown female and especially brown male in (brown race). Sonny’s Barbar does not treat people fair and I done no wrong other than me and my toddler come out to eat the dry chicken and cold fries! Since now I am brown man and it’s the white manager female word over mines I am ban from restaurant! I will let God (Jehovah) to handle this for me and judge all people that is in this business while his son Lord (Chris Jesus) worked out miracles for me that is always standing over me and my toddler that gets the justice that is needed in an endless situation that will bless me and my seed. Psalm 91 and now am cover cause now this right here is no longer my problem everything is on almighty god hands now....

My husband’s coworker recommended he try the “redneck” egg roll at Sonny’s. The foodie in me started checking to see which location had it but I could only find out dated posted about this interesting creation. The reviews were all good so we were prompted even more to find it. I pulled into the drive thru at Sonny’s and saw the BBQ Pork Egg rolls. I asked Billie drive thru worker if that was the same as red neck egg roll and she confirmed.

So this roll is hand made per Billie. All the ingredients and the roll/wrap are prepared fresh. You can definitely tell that from the taste.

If you just read the ingredients it doesn’t sound appealing but take a bite and you will agree it is a spectacular combination of goodness. The roll appears to be fried lightly a slight crunch on the outside but soft inside and pairs well with the ingredients Cole slaw pulled pork pepper Jack cheese. It’s not hot from the cheese just the right touch of spice. The dipping sauce I believe is ranch but it’s almost like a yum yum sauce but better . It pairs well with the egg roll. Whomever created this knew what they were doing.

Try it they are appetizers but 3 for about $8. Very filling I could only eat one. Can’t imagine having this and a large bbq meal as well.

BTW: Ms Billie is top notch customer service focused. She is a keeper I hope Sonny’s treats her right. Valuable addition to the team there.

I went to Sonny's on a Saturday February 22 /2025 that was one of the worst experiences I have ever had at any Sonny's, first of all it was during rodeo week in perry and it was crowded, anyway I we went to Sonny's to make our order and they kelp telling me they were out of seem like everything. , we ordered the two meat meal combo , rib and chicken The waitress said they were out of chicken I said fine what can I get to replace it , she said we don't have anything, so I said can I double up on the ribs she said fine , so I paid with card stood in line for 35 minutes she comes back and said we out of ribs , so I said what do you have , she say we have chicken, but through you said that you were out of chicken, she said oh we have some now so I said fine , but I'm not going to pay the same price for the chicken that I paid for the ribs , she had to call her manager to confirm that , so they took two dollars each of my orders, so then after another twenty minutes wait she finally brought my order. , I was so tired and discouraged I just took my order and left, big mistake when I got home and checked my order we had one of the smallest leg quarters and three wings. , all for the lovely price of forty seven dollars and change , but I wasn't the only one that got screwed , one woman was waiting for and hour and a half, she finally just cancelled her order and left, needless to say I will not be going back to that Sonny's...
